Default Mini Coooper S - need your feedbacks

With gas prices rising more and more every day, I'm seriously thinking of buying a preowned 2006 Mini Cooper S with JCW Package (see attached pics).

Anyone know if Mini's are good cars (overall)?

It's fun to drive and feels like an old beetle to me, a little rough over bumps and such. But if you like a car with a short wheel base and decent power, that's a great car!

R40, did you have to say "old beetle". I drove an old beetle before, and that it was...OLD!!! Hopefully, its not as bumpy/harsh ride.

Appreciate your feedback...

I actually had a later model 75 Super Beetle, modified with adjustable struts. It didn't feel much different than a standard bug, just had more room in the trunk. I also ended up going through a couple motors, to make it faster. I upgraded to a 1776 first, then later a 2017, pair of Webber 40's and a hot cam...it was "FUN".

The Cooper S isn't really rough, I only notice because my New Beetle is so smooth. It's a turbo and has very good O.E. suspension. The Cooper is a fun car to drive. Plenty of speed, really nice handling, but feels weird looking to the midle for your speed...I imagine you just have to get used to it.

I see, then your beetle is new compared to my 67. I still recall the ride on my 67...felt like I was sitting on skateboard.

I agree with you, I think the mini will be fun car to drive. I can't wait to test drive this weekend!

Cheers!

What does the JCW stand for? juggalo championship wrestling? And what does the warning sticker say on the dash?

Thumbs up

Minis are definitely great cars. We have one and it's a blast to drive. The S does get a bit less gas mileage but the power is worth it. They drive very smooth and are very responsive.

Only cuz its like being in a Go-Kart in one, cuz you're so low to the ground it just feels really fast but these things are like death traps, if you have a serious crash in one just pray you dont survive it

Dude, take your money elsewhere
