try using a steel bar the right size to go through the bearing bushes. that should suffice, as long as you balance the wheels.

Also I was thinking of moving the rear axle about 4 inches forward so the batteries would fit at the back so when I press the throttle the front end will lift. I am only making this drag car for fun and looks, not to drag in competitions.

Thanks
Here are the pictures of my home built GMS based Promod. I hope these pictures are helpful to you. More pix to follow. PM me.

Paul73rc, I hope these pics. are helpful to you. How many cells you plan on running? I can help you with gearing, timing on the motor, the type of turn you would need to use, etc...

Hey,
I'm taking a good look at the pics now. Theres no need to be sorry, I'm the one that should be sorry. Thanks again for those pics, hopefully they will help.

P.S The chassis, top rear plate, and the motor mounts. Are they the ones from the actual GMS Dragster or were they homemade?

I'm only planning on running a standard 7.2v battery.
Like I said I'm not trying to make this do a 1.5s. It'll just be for tearing about on the street. But still, the pictures do help alot. You know the motor mounts are they from a GMS Dragster? Thanks again mate, Paul

GMS Dragster, the chassis is a dragster cut down to a promod wheelbase. 11 inch wheelbase.

So did you actually purchase an original GMS dragster kit and cut it down.

Yes... I'm not scared to take a chance. Everyone thought I was crazy to do cut a GMS Rail. But everyone likes the set up it's a bit different than everyone elses GMS 11. My promod is also about to get lighter servos just to cut off a few more oz. When the promod is completely done I will post more pics...

How many cars do you own? lol... If you can that would be more of a help. As for the drag car I am building is 100% homebuilt besides the wheels and electrics. The chassis is home built, the motor mounts, everything. Also the axles. I will try and post some pics of it once I got the rear wheels on. Paul

My promod as a roller is 2oz. lighter than a GMS 11. That is why I built it. The car is completely legal too.
