Default Businesses in the UK or other countries

I thought it would be interesting to know about other countries and their local well known establishments that nobody else knows about.
I got the idea when I found out about "Jack in the Box".
It is a local successful hamburger joint that I have grown up with and is known really well.
I was surprised to hear that they only go as far east as Texas.
Basically nobody on the East coast has ever heard of this place.
(This was a few years back, so things may have changed)
I just thought it was funny because here you have something that is really popular and in some cases you grew up with it, but it is only local/regional.
Another example is "White Castle". This is an East coast thing and I knew nothing about them until that dumb movie came out.
So what do they have in the UK or other countries that is really popular but only local/regional?
Do you guys have Targets? Wal-Marts? 7-Eleven's? Wendy's? Costco? AmPm?

something i will add, You know how its called TJ~Max on this side of the pond? well, over on the otherside. They decided to call it TK~Max. I dont have the faintiest why that is.

Originally coming over from the other side, i can say they do have the 7/11's, wendys (in some parts) ohh and costco. TGI fridays.

Ohh and i've just about tasted every burger joint here on the west coast and my money always goes to Jack inthe Box, that ultimate cheeseburger is the Best!! .. The worst joint i think is Carls Jnr, their burgers somehow seem to taste a little too rich for me

We have Albertons Grocery, in Holland, they had a grocery store called "Albert-hine" (I can't spell it the way the Dutch do, prbably sounded more Klingon when pronounced correctly...hehe)

I'm tired of getting those scam emails from the UK. It's driving me nuts.
