Default Is More Travel on Transmiter wheel Possible?

hey guys,
I have a Spektrum DX3 radio and I have very shaky hands when I race. I was wondering if it was at all possible to give the wheel on the radio more travel.
thanks
Tricky

You might want to crank up a bit of dual rate if you're shaking a lot. There really isn't any other way to get more travel out of the wheel because it's limited to it's own rotation, but if you have the EPA (End point adjustment) set to anything lower than 100% you'll be losing steering throw. Make sure that your End Points are set so there is no steering lost when you turn the wheel full left or right.

I think you misunderstood me. I want more physical travel on the transmiter wheel so if I shake a little it wont throw my car as much. So I will have to turn the wheel more but still have just as much travel on the truck. Like could I replace the thing that is connected to the wheel in the transmitter (I froget what they are called) with a greater throw one from Radio Shack. I would actually be unsoldering it and putting in a new one. Does anyone know if this would work?

try tightening up the tension on the wheel, so that when you shake the wheel doesnt move as far

It's not possible with that transmitter. However, the next generation of DX3 will have Exponential. This will make the steering less sensative, without sacrificing travel. Look into it, this may be what you need...

I love the heavy steering tension on the Nomadio Sensor, I had a habit of turning the wheel on my 3PK... I can't even use my 3PK anymore these days....

you can still crank up the tension on the 3pk. i dont know how stiff thespring is on the nomadio, but you can at least get the spring as tight as JR radios
