Default How to archive?

I work for a car dealership where I work as an accountant. Our dealership has also a website where every information is provided and we mostly communicate via mails. The question is how to archive such mails. I guess it's the wrong forum to ask this but I need to archive those emails.

Hi Diana. Yea you're definitely in the wrong forum for this.

It all depends on the email client you're using. If you open your email there's usually a help section where you can search for help on archiving. Or hopefully your dealership has an IT department. Your best bet is to ask them. Good luck!

Well,
In case you come back to check on this. Technically you're in the wrong forum, but then again, the is the Basement so everything goes.

I'm sure you're using Outlook for your emails. If so, you will need to go into File Explorer on your computer. Click on Documents, on the left, and create a file called Emails. In that file, you can create as many other files as you needed to help separate where the email came from. Go you the email you want to save and click on File in the top left corner of the screen. Then click on Save As then save it to the file you want to save it in. After you save the email to your file, you can delete in from your email inbox.

If you're not using Outlook, that might be okay because this is the same process for most email providers.

If you are looking for archive emails, then that is something your IT department will have to help you with. Each company will have a different internal settup.

Prrrfff... creating mailfolders is the best way and can be done in any mail client, in outlook they are called PST files, in the manu it is called "create data file"

That way also works. The way I explained will save the files to your computer where you can then move it to external hard drive.
