Default Vintage French Cars - CitroŽn 2cv and Renault 4L

Hello from France,
just want to share with you my 2 other babies (with my Serpent SRX8-GTe).

First car is a Renault 4 TL from 1981.
Egine is a 782cm3 ( 47,7 ci !! ), four cylinders, water cooled, 27 HP

The second car is a CitrŲen 2cv Special from 1979.
Engine is a flat two, 435cm3 ( 26,5 ci !!! ), air cooled, 24 HP !!!

Very typical French Popular cars.
Very collectible now and the price is increasing like rocket from past 5 years!!

Hmmm, as far as French cars are concerned, I prefer hydropneumatic Citroens. DS/SM/CX please.

I think the ZX/Xantia/C5/C6 isn't too unaffordable?
Yes a Concord + A400M + Caravelle !!
It's the "Musťe Aťoscopia" in Blagnac, home of the Airbus aircraft builder !!

Yes, affordable but not collectible!!

I assure you, Xantia Activa with active sport suspension will be a future classic! First car to exceed 1g on the skidpad.

That's a very cool museum! Concorde is my favorite aeroplane!

Very nice, romuald. Tamiya makes a C2V Rallye I've had my eyes on for a long time now. Cheers. 'AC'

You're right!!
Italian cars from 1960 to 1990 are often only "rust Challenge"!!

But for the moment, I'm in the restauration of the 2 twin bodies DellOrto 40mm carburators and upgraded the standard ignition to an electronic one!!!

And full fluid services (engine, gearbox, rear axle, cooler, brakes) and some other parts to change to be confident and restart from 0 !!

OK, Alfetta with the 2 liters "Bialberro" has "restarted" and sound clear now !!!

It's time to present our new car...

It's a CitroŽn ID 19 B from 1968.
The "ID" is the little sister of the "DS".
Almost same exterior design but, "cheaper" inside presentation.
Nearly same hydropneumatic system (minus the hydraulic gearbox).

Engine, hydraulic system, underchassis, interior: in very good shape
Body with some superficial rust, no holes, maybee a full paint to do...

Hello from France,
The CitroŽn ID19b Confort from 1968 will go soon to "Surgery"!!!

We will give it the flavor of its Birth Year.
It will return to its original "Bleu Angora" and without the inox strips alongside doors...
Complete paint job and rust killing!
I hope my ID will come home for Santa like this one.
