So youve never experienced brushed motors?

I have a few brushed. Kept the 4Tec2.0 brushed, Vaterra v100, Dromida and my MiniZ. But theses are disposable brushed motors. Not the ones Iíve been heard stories about. Rebuilding, replacing brushes, and so on. Donít think many would spend that time rebuilding today when for $15 I buy a replacement.

I hear you in todays standards, but back then a decent brushed motor was like $40+, and brushes and springs were super cheap. People would bend the tabs back, pull out the endbell, lathe the armature, solder on more windings and add ball bearings to stock motors.

Break the brushes in under water. Those were the days lol

my nephew was getting decent, but ended up getting more interested in airsoft. Don't think he ever runs his trucks anymore.

that is awesome! Man, im about to drop some serious cash just to see what he has in him. I have lots of experience driving rcs but my son whips his rc28 around the house and touches nothing! I try to drive it and im hitting all types of stuff lmao. I let him drive my b5m with endpoints low on 2s and he drives it really well. Im about to turn it up and see what he has.

whatever I wanted in case they got tired of it.

I think my nephew had stampede 4x4 vxl at around 8 years old. I wouldn't necessarily recommend that model, but in training mode (50% max throttle) he did well with it.

I had to lecture him a bit on what not to do.

2wd buggy if you really want to test his skills my father did the same thing when I was younger and pocket bikes where my thing. Bought the most powerful 50cc engine available and put it on the smallest frame that we could find. Told me to race thru the apartment complex we live in at the time and to be on the gas longer on every lap. Maybe not every kids learning style but sure got me to lean into corners to the point the screws on my knee pad where sparking from rubbing on the asphalt . If he can drive a 2wd buggy with skills then rc is his thing.

Finally got my shit together and my head motivated enough to prep, mask, and paint my Avante shell. I built the kit in 2017.
Now awaiting drying. Tomorrow, I'll do the undercoat.

Now prepping and masking the CAT XLS shell. This was also built in 2017.

I don't know why, painting a shell is such an incredibly demoralizing thing for me to do, to the point I put it off for years.
