Default Ten Years later.....

Now that all my R/C cars and trucks qualify for vintage class and I'm so old that I can be some yous' Mom, I am going to try to get back in to racing or at least weekly trips to the track. I have played with my stuff from time to time but, not raced. Now I have to decide if I'm going offroad or onroad. Now that I'm in Fresno I have to find all new tracks and parts store too. I have all my old offroad cars but, there not going to stand a chance with the new stuff. so, maybe some time just playing in the park first, then a trip to an offroad on open track day.
Things have changed alot in those ten years. All the cars have gone metric, Losi isn't Losi anymore and, AIRTRONICS went under with my old employer Hobby People.
I hope there is a spot in this hobby for an old hand like me.

If your still here, thank you for reading my sad story the short version.

Welcome back, SoCal. If nothing else, you can join in with the vintage build crowd.

Oh and don't forget the Novak is also out of business. When I was a teenager the Novak Cyclone with the Pit Wizard was the ESC to own. Now all escs have some sort of way to program it.

Default Thank You all

AHR43-I am working on learning the tracks and classes in my area. Hopefully, they have a vintage class.

GrandeGixxer-My next move is to get an onroad car so I can take advantage of that nice track.

LA-2-AL- Yes, red rims and some red ballcups aswell.

Kelseyrc- I know. Most of what I still have is Novak. All brushed stuff but its still working just fine for me. You may also notice the Tekin G12c in the XXT. (First row, second truck from the left.)

Yup, right next to me. Most of them. Some are in storage. I can put pics up of each of them if I get enough people that want me to. Some are strictly factory most, not so much so. Like one of the STs is a "mostly" Traxxas with Losi parts. I'll let you guess which one it is.

So let me know guys/gals if you want bios on these.

Now, to work on my MTs transmission.. Come Robin!!

I really am curious though how these can compete with the new stuff. My MF2 is super light.

There was a guy at the clay track a few weeks back that made it in the a main with a xxx-t. It was dialed and he appeared to be an excellent driver.

My xxxt was always at the top and was easy to drive fast, then bought the MF2 and seemed to struggle as it needed more tuning and set ups to be any where near the old truck, then bought a 22T first version, and absolutely hated that truck tried all the setups and it was a POS and now looking at stadium truck making a come back makes me think it's time to break out the old truck and give it a shot, they did not have a ton of adjustments, but they maintained the speed, so latest greatest is not always best

xxxt any version will never compete with any mid motor stock or stadium truck .. youll be left on 1 st 2 turns..what where the big updates that make a xxxt and mf different so u could not tune..(none) same truck just needed to move old off shelf
