Post Rosewood NC Carpet Season

Hello, just letting everyone know that it's now carpet season at Rosewood Raceway just outside of Goldsboro, NC. Track opens between 10-10:30am. Registration ends at 2-2:30pm. Racing starts at 3pm every Saturday.

Main classes are;

Spec Touring

Stock Touring

Stock 1/12th

Other classes may be run if there are enough cars (usually 3 or more).

Glenn (track owner) is also trying to start a Mini T class.

Best to use Odorless compound here.

New track layout. We dumped the RoadRails and now have 2 2x4's stacked up as the lanes with plastic flappers at the ends. Check the pic out.

We try to run by basic Roar rules for carpet.

For more info, please call Glenn at (919)734-7754. Or post your questions here.

Track address is:

651 Community Dr, Goldsboro, NC 27530

Thankyou,

Jimmy Mac

Remember, racing every Saturday. Track opens between 10-10:30am. Racing starts at 3pm.

John....Concord? I dunno where that is.. lemme look it up. The is only one real Touring car track in NC and that's Rosewood. There used to be Durham (2003 Roar Nats Track).. but we'll see next year how things go there. This year it was kinda dead. There is a small tiny indoor track in Cary... But it's more for fun than serious competition. There's an indoor carpet track in SC. There are tons of offroad tracks though..

Okay.. looking at Yahoo Maps.. you will be just north of Charlotte. So for you to get to Rosewood... around 3 hours. A guy named Brandon Melton lives around there. You could get up with him sometime when you move down. Just keep me posted. He may pop his head in here sometime as well.

Hey Keith.. wuzzup. How's Debbies doin? When will the track be done up there? Let me know so I can plan a Road Trip sometime. The track here is alot nicer now with the RoadRails GONE!! hehe Much much better! Bring the boys down sometime (if they can afford it.. hehe) Oh yeah, your buddy Mike McDan showed up a couple weeks ago. But hasn't shown up since.

Anyways, let me head out.. catch yall L8Rz...

John- Hit me up with a PM. Where at in Concord, do you know yet? I live in Concord as well. Not much around here for serious TC racing. Like Jimmy said, it's about 2hr 45min to Rosewood, but after the first few trips it doesn't feel that far, lol. Always looking for local racers to hang out with off the track as well. Catch ya this summer.

I missed the outdoor race, but I'll make this one.

Jimmy- will it be the same layout or will it change for the race like it did last year, I know last year was a little technical for some. Either way it will be new to me, I haven't been able to make it up that much.

See ya on the 29th.

The indoor carpet layout will stay the same all winter long. I think Glenn lost too many drivers changing it too much and too technical last year. I think this is the best choice for now. But I'm hopping to change the outdoor track for the Trophy Race in spring. Plus Glenn better have the new drivers stand built by then. Also hopping the PA/MD guys show back up for the Asphalt race in Spring..

Anyways... maybe I'll find out more info this weekend from Glenn about the Winter Bash....
