Default Outdoor Asphalt On-Road & Oval at Easley (SC) RC Raceway

Guys, they are racing paved oval and on-road every other Saturday at Easley RC Raceway (The Hobby Connection) in Easley, SC. Track opens at 10am and racing starts at Noon.

During the day, alternating heats of oval and on-road are run on the oval track. The racing has been great and the on-road scene is growing.

Oval classes are 17.5 Monster Lock and Busch Pan Car

On-road classes are USVTA, USGT, and F1.

Come on out and join in the action!

Another great day at the Hobby Connection. Started at noon, got in two heats and double mains for all classes and finished by 4:30. Another outstanding effort by Corey and the crew.

The new on road layout that utilizes the entire oval has brought new challenges to everyone, especially in the gearing department. Add in track temperatures above 130* and a good time was had by all. With an indoor pit area to semi cool off in between rounds it makes for a fun afternoon. I can hardly wait for next time.

Do they still have the asphalt slab that they used to race TC on?

If so why is that not used anymore?

Races there a few times along time ago. That was a nice track back then.

The old on road track is now buried under about 3 feet of very well groomed red clay. They have quite a dirt oval following if you are into that sort of thing. It's pretty cool but I'm not into farming. They did build the track with a liner under the dirt so it would be reversible if necessary. It is the biggest draw so they go with it. They are working on the feasibility of paving a road course in the infield of the oval which would be really cool. All it takes is money.

Cool. I just remembered them having a nice on road track before.

Wasn't sure why it was not being used. But I guess if it has dirt over it that's a good reason. Lol

Next race is this Saturday, March 3rd. Paved Oval and On-Road.

US Vintage Trans-Am, USGT, Euro Trucks, F1, are the on-road classes.

8.0 second Trucks and Open classes for oval.

The races will be every other Saturday after that. There is also a points series starting in June, going through October.

Come check out some of the FASTEST outdoor on-road racing in the Southeast. We race on the 'ROVAL' using the high bank corners as part of the course. Gives us a chance to open them up and let 'em rip!

Easley has 4 racetracks to schedule, and unfortunately that's what ended up happening.

Here's a link to past results at the track.

ERC Raceway :: Archived Results :: LiveRC

We run 2 qualifiers and double A-mains during the day. The 2nd A-main starting grid is inverted from the finish of A1, allowing for more excitement and passing in A2!!

Racing usually wraps up by 5pm so you can get home at a reasonable time.

Correction...if anyone is itching to race this Saturday, we are holding a full race program at Easley RC Raceway.

USVTA, USGT, F1, and Euro Trucks for the on-road. We split out the novice VTA and novice Euro Truck racers, so if you're a beginner you'll be racing with other beginners!

8.0 Trucks on the paved oval, if anyone wants to race paved oval.

Dirt oval starts at 7PM

More info here at the track FB page: https://www.facebook.com/Carolina-RC...8728908492993/
