Here we are again the day before a race and it has been raining to beat hell. The track is in good order but as it was last time the grounds are or will be iffy at best. As of right now at 8;30pm on Friday we are going to go for it. My wife will be putting out a contact to the masses that we have information on so watch for it. Since I am several hundred miles away and won't be there this time there could also be another posting to the constituency in the morning with any needed changes. Everybody have a good time in my absence.

Jut received word from the track that the pits are ankle deep again. Going to have to call it a no go. See everybody in two weeks.

Sorry for my recent absence. Aging family members are a bit time consuming.

It finally looks like we will get a break in the weather for the weekend not to mention a few sunnier and drier days leading up to it so the grounds will have a chance to percolate the water into the neighboring quarry.

We will start where we left off last season with the USVTA cars and the USGT/Carolina Hot Rods and finally the Late Models. We have some new sponsors for this year so come on out and support them. There will also be an 8 race points series as well which will start out as soon as we can work out the details.

Hopefully the new season will eclipse last years efforts. See everybody at the track.

Weather still looking good for the weekend so it finally looks like we get to put one in the books. There may even be several loads of gravel in our future to negate what has been a nuisance for us last year as well as this year.

We will be there by nine getting things set up and ready to race by eleven so come on down and have some fun. I know that I'm going to.

Any chance of running some select Sundays, or through the week - maybe practices? I've yet to make it out with scheduling conflicts.... ( currently working 6 days a week at an outage at McGuire Nuclear Station until April 16th or so ) , and the kids are beginning to be back to other sports on Saturdays. Just thought id check.. but do plan to make my next available Saturday.

I learned a long time ago to never say never. The likelihood of Sunday racing is pretty slim but an occasional mid week practice day might not be out of the question though once the days get long enough.

Since we have no external lighting at the facility anything at night would be difficult at best. The whole shooting match would have to be secured by 8ish.

Who is up for some racing this weekend? Same time same station. Be there or be, well, not there. Gates open at 9ish with first heats at 11ish. US/VTA, USGT/Carolina Hot Rod, and the ever popular late models. Race fees are $15, $10, and $5 for all three classes. Don't forget the 50/50 tickets can be a good way to recoup your entry fees and support the track while doing it.

We just can't seem to catch a break. Weather for the next three days is for at least an 80% chance of rain so we are just going to go ahead and call it so nobody gets stuck , wet or otherwise unpleasantness. When we finally do get to pull this off everybody should be ready.
