Sorry but it's a wash(no pun intended).Rain stopped but no possibility of getting it dry enough to do anything. Wind out of the Northeast at 20mph and 46* and falling wasn't making waiting it out much fun. I hope this isn't a forbearer of how the season will get started.

Stay tuned.

I have heard that the tire of choice has been the Sorex 28-35 depending on ambient and surface temperature which has reached 145*.

Another question... does the track support AMB transponders?

Negative. We do not. We use the I-lap system and transponders. They are available trackside for rent($5) or for sale($25). Nothing against the AMB/My laps product aside from the frequent updates and exorbitant pricing.

We have a couple of pretty good looking days for today and tomorrow so we are going to address the back stretch abyss on the oval as well as the meteor crater on the long straightaway. Everything should then be dry enough tomorrow so we can go back and add some color to the repairs. The weekend is looking good so come on down.

Yes there is ample room. Unfortunately though you need to supply your own power.

Well opening day is tomorrow. We have had an incredible amount of rain in the area today which is supposed to be cleared or clear off by morning. The track should be pretty clean and near ready to go but I have my concerns about the pit parking area. There was standing water all along the base of the bank on Tuesday and it hasn't improved. Stay tuned for an early post as to whether or not the grounds are suitable for pit traffic.

Seems like just about this same time last year we were having this conversation.

Everybody do a sun dance.

Stay tuned.

Curses, foiled again. We are having to call it.. Track looks good. Well on the way to drying but there is a small stream flowing along the bottom edge of the bank coming down from the track where everybody pits and water over your shoes everywhere you walk except on the rubber runner up to the gate. On the plus side there will be a couple more improvements to things inside the fence when we finally get it done.

Sorry guys, stay tuned.

We will hold strong for next time. Hopefully the rain is heading out of here and we have a dry spring/summer. I'm hoping to bring a new recruit to the races next time. I've been a bit out of the RC thing for a few months, but we are getting back to it.

John, great to hear from you. Believe me when I sat that nobody is as disappointed as I have been. It has been just like last season, a muddy March.

A new recruit? Great. You could use some competition for the 50/50.

You wouldn't let a pal win the pot so he can feed his newly acquired habit?
