Kannapolis Raceway Park
#571

Weather has been less than kind to us so far this week. We have been experiencing daily on and off rain showers. Some lite but some pretty severe. I did manage to pick up the needed materials to make the track repairs I have in mind as well as some additional material to complete the rejuvenation of the carpet golf course. Now all we need is for the weather to get back to some semblance of normal so the repairs and updates can be completed.
As usual, stay tuned.

I will bring it with me.
I am ready myself for a race weekend. We have been doing work in the Park this week and every time we roll through the gate it is just waiting and beckoning us to open the gate and have some fun. You know the feeling. It's like that girl in High School used to do. They had a different name for it then.
See everybody on Saturday. We will keep the same class line up for now as it seems to be working.
Stay tuned.

Weather still looking pretty nice for race day. High 90*, partly cloudy with 20% chance of precip.. The rest of the park is open for daily business starting Friday so let's tighten up our parking alignment so as not to spill over too much toward the pool. We are good how and where we are but we could get a little closer together. There shouldn't be anything to hide from one another.
Can't wait to try out the new scales this weekend.

Awesome. I hope we have a good turnout so I can be last of a BIG field. LOL!
Other class suggestions are TT02 and M chassis from me if we can get some interest. The M chassis is so much fun to drive. I have two build out with 17.5T motors.

As mentioned before, we are open to basically any type class as long as we can get at least 5 participants so that group can provide marshaling when it is their turn so as not to put additional duties on the other racers. Also if there is a printed list of rules for what you are suggesting I would like to see them. Rule simplicity is foremost for me. At my age I can barely remember where the track is so an ad-nauseum set of rules is not for me. We can certainly talk about it though.

We will talk about it some tomorrow. I shouldn't be overwhelmed like last time since the cavalry will be there. We will likely have quite a number of people underfoot for a while since the park opened so everybody put on their smiley face and patience cap.

We can build the class for sure and keep it simple for you Mike.
With all the push for the local Hobbytowns put on having a TT02 series there has be be guys other than me and Thumbs with stock TT02s to run. It be good to capitalize on that crowd to maybe bring some other Newbies to get addicted like myself.
