OK boys and girls. I really don't know how to explain how badly I screwed the pooch and stepped on my Richard with both feet while wearing track shoes but I did. Between my partner and myself we have managed to schedule something that will keep both of us away from the track on a race weekend. It really doesn't matter what or why or even how but it does matter that we have failed all of you. In an attempt to make it up to everyone for the closure this weekend we will host a FREE test day on May 5th(from 10-2) and be back on schedule with racing on May 12th.

Again, my apologies for any possible inconvenience this causes any of our racers. We will do our best not to let this happen again.

Though I really hate the cancellation for this weekend it may have been a blessing in disguise. This morning the area around the track would have to dry significantly to be called a swamp and it was beginning to rain some more while I was there. The weather does look good for the weekend but I don't know of anyone that want to wear "wader's" just to get up to the track.

See everybody on the 5th for a test and tune.

Stay tuned.

No worries Mike. We are only human. And since mother nature is bipolar it works out. My little brother is stationed in TX at Ft Hood and will be shipping out with his tanks first of the month so I am down here visiting him for a couple days anyway. My car is ready sorry I will be there for the May 12th race day.

Looking forward to getting out there for the test and tune. I've got my VTA car running pretty solidly and my USGT car almost good to go. I found my differential was leaking during my test runs this weekend so I've got it back apart to rebuild that. I got some solid time last night at a local tennis court that was not being used. Unfortunately I've found my new transmitter has a bug that is causing my cars to throttle off from just sitting neutral. My backup transmitter doesn't have the same issue, but it has a totally different wheel and trigger feel. At least it has the exponential so with some practice I'll adjust.

I am looking forward to it myself. I will be back on Friday to get things ready.

John, be sure to do an ESC learn with the new radio and make sure that the dead band is set correctly.

Got a bunch of new track dots picked up that won't move under duress. Will try to have them ready for the weekend.

Thanks Bill! I've got my VTA hooked up now. Working on my CHR now. It's running great, just not tracking great.. found I have a servo binding internally last night. Fortunately I have a spare and that should resolve the issue. The only oops now is I'm running a 200mm body on my CHR versus the 190, but I can live with that for now.

Hey everybody. Back home from the trip. Can't wait for Saturday's T&T. I picked up some steel dots from Valkaria. I'm going to try to have them ready for this weekend. Next weekend for sure.

Are there any motor / esc rules for the mini oval class? I currently have brushed setup. If I upgrade to brushless, would prefer to stick with hobbywing. Didn't know if there was a Traxxas requirement

I'm not going to be overly concerned if it isn't a Traxxas unit as long as it is a 380 sensorless brushless motor and ESC. However the tires must be the 7373 Traxxas slicks unless you are under 10 years old.

Another good test session in the books. I think everybody that made it out learned something today. We are getting the PF tires dialed in without tire snot so that is a plus. I managed to get my late model sorted out(FINALLY) so maybe the kids won't beat up on me next time. New steel dots in place in some areas so now when the car goes airborne there is an accompanying "kerplink" to let you know how much you didn't miss it by. All in all a good day. Pleasant weather, cloudy and mid 70's.

See everybody next Saturday. We will continue on with VTA, CHR and Late models. It seems to be working.

Stay tuned.

Forgot to mention yesterday that we had RC Pete stop by for some laps. Hope he makes it back for next Saturday.
