We will get you over here sooner or later Mark. I'm holding onto my oval late model loaner for you to drive. Those joy sticks will certainly get a work out but you will be back home before you can stop smiling.

Anything going on over there on the 31st? We will be dark that day for Easter.

No, nothing scheduled that day either at Easley.

I know I am not as active as I would like with my work schedule. However was wandering how many of us have Bolink (aka RJ SPEED) legend cars. Could be a fun sec class for the oval or road course. I have 2 that have not seen daylight in a couple years. There are a couple other in my area with them. Just a thought. I still have my mini as well

We would be overjoyed to have a group of Legends to add to the oval program so lets get a head count.

The CRC rubber tires will fit the Legends cars. Just FYI. Make sure you get the ones for the Pan Cars and not the F1's. Might be better for the outdoor track than Foams.

Calandra Racing Concepts Inc.

Yes, they are a little pricey at $60, but will last for YEARS and won't chunk like foams. Or wear down in size.

Good tip Mark. The official legends tires are pretty pricey as well and wouldn't have the longevity.

Thanks

Happy to help. The Legends could double dip very easily!

There are plenty of things out there that could race but right now we are trying to find out what's out there that wants to race.

I think your best bet is to stay consistent with the 3 classes you have been running. VTA, Hot Rod and Oval. This way people know what to expect if they want to jump in and buy/build a car, they won't have to wonder if that class is going to be running on any particular race day. Also, I think sticking to a lesser amount of classes will be better in the long run as hopefully it would make for fuller fields in each class.

I know the time constraints are a concern, but the only other class I think you may want to consider adding/promoting, is a novice class. I bet there are several guys that have kids that will want to race. I know both of mine do.

See you Sat.

Just came back from the morning trip to the "Y" and there was ice on my windshield. WTF! Might have to put track maintenance off until tomorrow. Speakers are installed but need to be wired.

Will post tomorrow the official word on what we will run. I think we will stick with what is working for right now. We would like to get enough F-1's and minis into the mix. I know they are out there.

Weather should be good enough today to get the speakers wired but still colder than I would like. Watching the weather throughout the week since some of this recent unpleasant action is sliding back later into the week. Saturday now shows a high of only 51 with more clouds than previously estimated. We will be keeping an eye on it.

After consideration we are going to stick with the VTA/CHR/LM oval line up for this week. If you have something else though please bring it so we can at least evaluate it for a place in the program or get a count so we can see how many more we need.

Any idea how late the racing will be going on Saturday? I have to work but get off at 12 so by 1 or so I could be down there to enjoy some racing. Or would that be too late

Well leaving work at 12 I should be down there by 1ish. Long enough for me to chat and see how everything is going. Weather permitting of course. Hope to see everyone Saturday afternoon.
