Just checking in from sunny South Florida. Lets remember that there will be transponders available for rent and for sale on the 3rd of February. There were originally 14 available but two have been spoken for so lets get those requests for "dibs" on the remaining dozen.

Stay tuned.

Back from the toasty south. Will go over to the track in the morning and check out the grounds for muck and mire. I don't know how the weather has been here but I have seen no appreciable precipitation since I left until this morning and it was like a double c*nted cow peeing on a flat rock for the first couple of hours of traveling North.

Should have a track update early tomorrow afternoon.

No more transponder interest? lets get those names in here.

Got the timing bridge ready to accept the sensors so now all I have to do is pick up a couple of small hose clamps to secure the bridge to the uprights and she is ready to go.

I guess we had some rain recently. Although the ground is much better than when I got stuck my ruts are full of water and the whole 15-20 foot area along the fence is like a wet sponge to say the least. Down the bank is pretty good but everything is still a good ways beyond damp. There won't be a lot of warmth in air for the next few days but everything should be acceptable by the weekend. Saturday's temperature is reported as mid 40's with no chance of rain. Unless there is a turn for the worst we will be going for it so hope to see everyone there.

On the social side and, to a lesser degree, in person there have been numerous questions about point series and that sort of thing. To that the answer would be a yes BUT not immediately. There are far too many people trying to sort out what class they might want to participate in for points to be a factor. If participation is as high as it appears it will be it shouldn't take very long to get that sort of thing up and running. So far we have just learned to stand up so it is a bit early to be running but we will get there.

Dress warm. See everybody on Saturday. One more time, USGT/VTA/F-1 but bring your mini's just in case.

Cort, are you dialed in with everything? If not, give me a call and we will see if we can get you squared away.

Sorry I have been MIA here lately. Been busy the last 2 weeks at work. Unfortunately I will not be making it to the grand opening this weekend. On Saturday at 10:30Am I lost my grandfather. He was not just my grandfather though. This man was the one who kickstarted my racing career in 1990 at the age of 4 with my first rc. From then on in life all I could do was think of racing. After Rc for 3 years was 1/4 midgets then 1/2 scale cup cars, into paved late models then dirt moods then sprint cars. My grandfather was not just my support and mentor he was to me a hero. But just a month before his 85 birthday I have to say goodbye. Dementia is not fair. Life isn't fair. With all that being said I will not be around to run for a while. This will take me some time to get over. Hope everyone enjoys the day on Saturday

Cort, On the 1/10 car the transponder plugs into the receiver. Not like it did on the mini-Z. You may need a harness modification.

Your stock class mini? Mini-Z or 1/10 mini? If it is the Z then we can electronically reset the steering on the chassis.

We can reset it when we get the opportunity. Are you OK on the transponder plug? If you need help just call.
