Thumbs up Overgeared Racing Presents 2017 "Big Chill" November 3, 4, 5

Big Chill returns for the 2017 Season

https://goo.gl/maps/hCJRg

Track will be open Friday from 3pm to 9pm for practice. Early registration will be from 7pm to 8:30pm on Friday evening. The doors will open at 7-9am for practice and registration on Saturday. Last chance qualifying will begin at 9am sharp but time may be pushed to 8am depending on number of racers. We should hopefully be done around 3 to 4pm but this again depends on the number of entries.

New for this year, CRC black carpet

Yes, that's right! The OGR crew is very happy to announce that we have purchased CRC black carpet and will be running that for the Big Chill moving forward!

Drivers are required to corner marshal after their race. If they cannot marshal they are required to find their own replacement and inform the Race Director. If the Race Director finds a driver/substitute not corner marshaling, their previous qualifier will be docked 1 complete lap.

There will be a Spec Tire for Touring Stock and Modified…. Tires are Gravity G Spec Type C. Tires will be available for purchase at the track from Overgeared and will be marked per class. The tires will be between $35-40 Price will be based on US exchange at the time...as close to $35 as we can get. 1 set of tires will be checked in for the weekend for TC stock and 2 sets for TC Mod. Mini barely made the cut last year due to low turn outs. I'm sure that if we get enough requests for it, we can look at adding the class back in.

Pretty excited for you guys with the new acquirement! Tim started hounding me months ago; we are going to the Chill again, right? Yes Tim, we can go again! With as much travel racing everyone is doing lately, guys are going to need to apply for a CanAm Citizenship. Maybe even a Nexus pass and zip right through.

Tiny! Get yourself well buddy.

Thanks Brian... down but not out. Can't wait to get the Nortwest and Westcost Carpet Family together again. The Overgeared Team is full speed ahead even with me down...

As soon as they jail break me Seattle RC Racers will be getting their JFT Tires. Or Overgeared will have them on location...

Are JFT specs going to be the only tire? Or can we also use CRC/Jaco?

Any of the spec tires. But the JFT tire sales benefit the home club by being less expensive there by promoting the class

We've been put on floor 1 at Chilliwack Heritage Park. Power is drawn from limited plug ins. Be sure to bring your own power strip. Possibly bring an extension chord.

Maybe mini needs a change in spec or speed on large tracks? It might bring some out of the basement.
Maybe 13.5 blinky, SWB, open tire.
Fast guys might even pick up a used chassis for that kind of entertainment.
