CMRC presents the 5th annual RFTR trophy race August 4th-6th
This years Race For The Racers trophy race will be held on the long weekend of August the 4th 5th and 6th.
We have put a lot of time and effort into this years new track layout and are excited to share it with everyone. It has a little bit of everything. Lots of room for passing big air jumps and some cool rhythm sections. Its soo epic!!
Our track is fully carpeted so your cars will stay nice and clean all weekend. The track doesn't get all blown out, so it makes for some consistent lap runs and fierce battles on the track.

Classes that we will be running are:
Novice
2wd Buggy
2wd Truck
2wd Sct
4wd Buggy
4wd Sct
1/8th E-buggy/truggy
1/8th Nitro buggy/truggy "something new to try and if enough entries to run"
Friday: There will be registration, pit setup, and practice till dark.
Saturday: We will have last minute practice/registration in the morning.
Drivers meeting will be at 8am and first qualifier will be on the line for 8:30am.There will be 3 rounds of qualifying with qual points.
Sunday: We will have a drivers meeting at 7:45am and have the first race on the line for 8am. Trophy presentation to follow completion of the race day! We will be handing out trophies for TQ's and 1st-3rd places.
We will run triple a-mains on Sunday and possibly try the double b-main thing see how it goes.
There will be power provided at the track, but you will need to bring your own tables, chairs, pit tents, whatever else you need for your pit space.
There is a lot of room for camping at Marks place, however if you are bringing a motorhome or a trailer of some kind you might want to bring your own generator to have power, or there is an rv park up at the Castlegar golf course (2minutes from the track) you could make arrangements at I'm sure if you need the hook ups.
Race fees are as follows:
$25 first class
$15 second class
$10 third class
$5 for each additional class after the first 3.
$20 for Novice class. 10th scale cars only.
Cant wait to see everyone this year and have a great time racing with the CMRC in the Kootenay Boundary Area.

Great times CMRC
I loved the 3rd qualifier after dinner on Saturday and lights up for late night practice.
Obviously, the scorching heat and crappy smoke affected numbers; but I think everyone had a great time! What a unique experience and so nice that Kevin and Mark were so helpful with sharing the knowledge of how to run on the big carpeted Beast!
