Hey. A few of us are thinking about coming from edmonton to attend this race. We are wondering if there is on site camping available? If not can you recomend a nearby camp ground that we could stay at? Thanx

Was hearing some rumblings of quite a few from here making the trek including myself. At our races, we have noticed quite a few green and white licence plates, so I think its about time.

SORRCC has unlimited amounts of space for campers around the track. Note there will be no access to power or water so be prepared.

We should also note that a Outlaws of Motorsports "Monsters & Mayhem" (monster trucks, motocross, tough trucks, etc... show) will be taking place on Friday and Saturday at Wyant Group Raceway so there will likely be a lot of traffic around us and a small crowd of spectators. I don't think tickets and show times have been announced yet.

We're a month away! Super excited for this race. Seeing lots of out of town entries coming in from a few different places. If you're attending this race and haven't used RC Signup, sending your classes and PT numbers to me in a PM will greatly speed up our registration process on Friday/Saturday.

I also added a note to the original post about tables and chairs.

Cheers guys!

Hey guys! Less than 2 weeks to the start of the event! Make sure to sign up using the pre-registration link in the first post.

Some guys have asked about camping. Yes, there is room to camp at the track. So far I've got one trailer from Edmonton and one from Calgary. Just let me know if you're bringing a trailer so we can kinda have a semi-organized parking/camping arrangement.

See you guys in 9 days!

Another couple points.

As some guys have been asking; we will not be running 2wd buggy in any class. We feel it isn't fair to the 2wd SCT's to run with cars that have such an advantage, and we do not have enough of a local following to create a class this soon before the race.

Secondly, we will be running and scoring 1/8 Electric Buggy and Truggy together due to a lack of Truggy entries necessary to make their own class.

Cheers guys! See you in about a week!

Thanks Tim.

Anyone else who is planning on bringing a trailer and has not yet contacted me, please do. We're working on parking solutions so that everyone can get in and out of the lot easily.

Cheers

Are you doing rocket rounds for qualifying? I'm unable to make Saturday can I race on Sunday?

Thanks,
Anthony

Yup, qualifying format will be rocket round. We will be running 3 rounds on Saturday and one last chance round Sunday morning. As far as I know there should be no issue with just coming on Sunday.
