Default Acquiring lipos in Canada

Hey all, hope you are enjoying the May long weekend!

I've been out of the rc loop for a couple years, and am looking for some new lipos. Had good experience with gens ace, in the past I ordered from hobbypartz... or maybe it was hobby king. Either way our updated hazardous goods legislation makes getting lipos into the country a chore.

So where (how) are you all getting your packs? So far I've seen greathobbies. I'm looking for 2s saddles and 4s packs.

I picked up Gens Ace 2s 5000mah 50c hard case for $55 at Hobby Hobby in Mississauga. I haven't personally ordered from them, SMC batteries at http://www.begoracing.com/shop/. I also get them from Great Hobbies too.

you havent specified where you are, but id try alex at gripworks rc for batteries if your looking for a high end battery, or greathobbies carries their own brand lipos. smc lipos are pretty good the price i suppose but every single one ive owned has swollen. i use them as starter box batteries lol.
ive had some orca infinite ultra packs that were pretty pricey for usre, but a full year later have all the capacity and punch of the day i got them. no swelling.

The Turnigy batteries from HobbyKing are great. Lots of our fast guys use them. Getting them to Canada isn't that bad, there is just a handling and duty charge. Still turns out cheaper then SMC if you are getting 4 or more.

My only gripe with Bego is the 3 days it takes them to pack and ship. Otherwise they are great batteries to.

+1,great batteries, cheap shipping, and no worries of duty/brokerage fees.
