Default 4th Annual Race For The Racers!!!!!!!!

The RFTR trophy race will be held in August on the weekend of the 5th 6th and 7th of this year.

Our track is over 12000sq feet of carpet!!! So if you wanna come experience some high grip racing then you should try make this one.
Cars stay clean, track doesn't get all blown out, so it makes for some consistent lap runs and fierce battles right to the bitter end.

Sign up on this forum or our Facebook Page: Click here ---> https://www.facebook.com/CMRC-562688577102754/ .

Hoping to have another great turnout and some fierce battles on the carpet.

Classes that we will be running are:

Novice
2wd Buggy
2wd Truck
2wd Sct
4wd Buggy
4wd Sct
1/8th E-buggy/truggy

Friday: There will be registration, pit setup, and practice till dark.

Saturday: We will have last minute practice/registration in the morning.
Drivers meeting will be at 8am and first qualifier will be on the line for 8:30am.There will be 3 rounds of qualifying with qual points this year trying something new.

Sunday: We will have a drivers meeting at 7:45am and have the first race on the line for 8am. Trophy presentation to follow completion of the race day! We will be handing out trophies for TQ's and 1st-3rd places.

We know there are a lot of you that come from out of town so we haven't decided yet on doing triple-A mains or just single mains. Soooo will let you all know before the race weekend .

There will be power provided at the track, but you will need to bring your own tables, chairs, pit tents, whatever else you need for your pit space.

There is a lot of room for camping at Marks place, however if you are bringing a motorhome or a trailer of some kind you might want to bring your own generator to have power, or there is an rv park up at the Castlegar golf course (2minutes from the track) you could make arrangements at I'm sure if you need the hook ups.

Race fees are as follows:
$25 first class
$15 second class
$10 third class
$5 for each additional class after the first 3.
$20 for Novice class. 10th scale cars only.

Cant wait to see everyone this year and have a great time racing with the CMRC in the Kootenay Boundary Area.
Flyer has been added below...

Default tires

any carpet rated pins on the back of your 2wd and 4wd will work great. carpet rated front wedge style tires work well on 2wd and 4wd vehicle. stay away from fuzzy style front carpet rated tires for 2wd and 4wd as it makes your car a lot edgy..... but saying that if you can get a setup that works well you may like it.... everything is preference to your own feel so its hard to set you up without watching your car and having you experience the grip. i like grip and i like fuzzy fronts but sometimes its just not faster than the competition. Good luck everyone who wants to attend this race. book your time off now.

Well you never know sometimes they are good about it haha It is a great race to come have fun at. The food we get brought in by Marks dad is unreal and the racing is usually really close on the carpet. Definitely wont be disappointed if you made it out and had a second long weekend in a row hehe

Right on Nick buddy! Glad to hear your are going to make it out. Maybe stadium truck eh? You got one in the works or what? 2wd classes are so fun to rip on the carpet don't have to worry about those loose end traction problems.

Default Just over a month away!!!

Just a reminder that we are about a month away from the big race weekend. Get those pre-entries coming to make it easier for us to set up the race and know who all is coming. Just to pump up everyone here is a video of a few laps I did with my 2wd buggy the other day.

Default Track update

Right on Rob and Darren glad to see you guys are going to make it out!

Keep the pre regs coming will help us out for setting up the races and making room for everyone coming.

Also we have been doing some changes to the track layout and some maintenance to make this race as epic as we can. There are some parts the same from what you all saw in the video and now there are parts totally different. Cant wait to see everyone out to burn some rug!

Default 12 more days!!!

That's right we only have 12 more days till the start of practice for the 4th annual Race for the Racers!!! Looks like the weather is going to be great and the carpet is always ready for some racing! Lets try get more pre registrations up on here so we don't have a slew of last minute entries. Catch you all at the track in a couple weeks

The answer for your questions are yes yes and yes haha. Would you have to run your genny all night? If not would be preferred to have it turned off unless its one of them super quit ones.
