Thanks Luke, and yes, you're correct for WGT. Needs 4 to count. Loved that class, sad to see it retire.

Congrats to all the winners! In case not everyone heard, the new version of RCScoring Pro has been changed to not play well with others; from what I understand it's due to a fallout with RCScoring Pro and LiveRC. Unfortunately that left Luke's program caught in the middle, and so we weren't able to automatically count up the points and have it all done immediately in Calgary, and take pics, etc.

Apologies, beyond our control, but thanks for posting the results so quickly Luke!

Congrats to (I think) 3 first time ever WCICS Champions: Luke in 12th Stock, Gary in Scale Spec, and Chuck in Mini!!! I'm sure you'll correct me if I'm wrong, but congrats just the same.

Congrats to Wayne for the double TC Championship! And Korgae's first F1 championship! And former Canadian Champion Blake for the fastest class of all, 12 Mod champion!

Big thanks to all racers and volunteers and sponsors and club reps and WCICS exec for joining us for some fun WCICS racing action!

See you all next season!!!

Josh
Korgae and (0000000000) like this.

Is it possible to get full results for the weekend? There weren't any sheets available at the end of the day with the other mains.

We're working on the schedule at the moment. Some dates may change, but things are largely remaining the same.

Is there going to be a cliff notes of the AGM meeting at the Calgary WCICS race? Just curious what, if any changes are going to be in place for next year.

We discussed a lot of changes, 21.5 for TC Stock, 25.5 for Scale Spec, tires, etc. But in the end we're going to stay with what works. IF ROAR changes TC Stock to 21.5 in 2018 then we'll obviously discuss at our next AGM, but for now it aint broke, aint fixin it!

Tires will just be one 32 compound now that most of the tracks have gone to black carpet, and the remaining ones are seriously thinking about buying over the summer.

Otherwise, I sent out the minutes to the reps the Monday night after the meeting/race. Give them a call if you have specific questions.

The only two other changes that affect racers are:

1. Battery temp check during pre-race inspection.
  • Battery temp will be checked during normal pre-race tech.
  • The battery temperature cannot be more than 5°F higher than the chassis temperature
2. We dropped WGT as an official class. This was due to low turnouts and the class not actually having enough points races to count 4 of 8.

We're working with Sweep on what exact tire package we'll be using for next year. It will be the same tire package for every race, regardless of race surface.

There's some logistics changes that were talked about as well, but nothing that affects anyone other than the race organizers. If anyone wants to know about that, just send me a PM.

Right, that is encompassed in the schedule, which hopefully will be finished up in a preliminary sense soon. From what I understand Kelowna is taking over the same slot as the Airdrie race occupied. Earl can clarify here but that's my understanding.

Right now it's looking as though we're still in late September. We'll be confirming that and booking our venue soon.

The USVTA weight dropped to 1450g this year, did it not?

Regardless, we're keeping USGT and CTA both at 1450g to keep the two classes roughly the same speed.
