Will the RRR layout stay the same in 2016?

I'm planning on the Summer Challenge weekend extravaganza!

Thanks,
KJ Jones

Do you guys allow the skyrc motor in mini or would I have to switch it out for a 21.5?

Hi Steve. The orca spec is fine, that's what I did last summer. You'll notice it works alright in the infield, but will lack top end.

Running mini at RRR is a good way for beginners to get started. It is also a great second class for racers, as it is practically zero maintenance.

I'll always have my mini at the track this summer, whether anybody wants to throw down, or if a new guy wants to try their hand at it.

Hey Chuck,

I started racing off-road this winter at Outlaw RC and wanted to try out some on-road pretty soon. The car I picked up is a wildfire D06 touring car, do you know if there are newb classes for touring car or are you put out with the fast guys? I'll be running a stock motor but I am fairly certain I'll still get lapped/get in the way of experienced guys.

I don't make the rules, but i can tell you from experience that the RRR track is pretty wide open with an smooth flow - especially if compared to outlaw. So there is lots of room to pass. If you have a 21.5 motor, they run that class too. Might be a little more control, and you'll be able to run any body you want.

See you there!

Of course we allow orca spec (skyrc is the same) along side with the 21.5s. great to see some more minis out this season.

The newbie friendly class is either scale spec (21.5 motor, Blinky esc, threaded tires any non sedan body) or touring stock (17.5 slick 32-36 degree tire, sedan body).

The d06 will be right at home as I used to run one and we have lots of trackside vbc, XRAY, serpent, arc support

Looking forward to all the new faces to join us this year!
