Default Prince George RC Community??

We have the opportunity to create a BRAND new track in the Prince George Area, just off the Hart for those in the area that know what that means and we want to know if anyone wants a track in the area?
We are hoping to start a thread to get a conversation going...
Wanna say something, join in the conversation..

Wasn't a new track built less than 5 years ago, and title sponsorship granted by Spruce Credit Union to alleviate start-up costs?

To my knowledge, please correct me if I am wrong, the track is still there and simply needs to be fixed.

It's in the city's central park with 6 baseball diamonds/soccer fields. Across the road from the YMCA, if I recall.

I believe biggest problem not related to poor organization (which is why it fizzled out) is the snow/ice. Once it melted, the track would wash flat and the "track building" in June would need to be done again. Then the season would be over by the end of August.

I didnt stay in PG long enough to get too involved. But parking lot racing at the Cougar arena or the old Roller dome would be more effective as a year-round alternative. Just section off an area not used, bring some jumps made from plywood and sealed with deck paint, and have at it.
