A reminder to everyone - please register online at www.wcics.ca/register.php with your transponders - no need to register on this thread.

If you do not supply your transponder numbers you won't be included in some of the cool new features of the WCICS Live system.

The registration page shows a demo class. What class is this? There is no demo class listed in this thread. I assumed that due to the large turnout for this event, that there wouldn't be time for a demo class. I'm just trying to decide in which classes to register for.
Last year, there was not a concourse competition. Safe to assume that there will not be one again this year? I just don't want to paint and pack a concourse body if I don't have to.

There will not be a demo class at Victoria - that is just in there for races that ARE advertising a demo class. You can see the list of classes in the first post in this thread.

There will be a concourse run this year as PROTOform has put up 3 bodies for us to giveaway at each event for concourse prizes. This will take place Friday night before the drivers meeting (I think).

Hi all,

I have updated the schedule in the original post to allow for concours. We'll run the competition just ahead of the driver's meeting as is typically done. Three new PROTOform bodies will be given away to the top three contestants.

Note that the reason there is no demo class is simply because of time constraints. After looking at last year's data (no demo class was run last year either), there was literally zero extra time.

Thanks,
Blake

Default A sad day in WCICS Vic history

Was looking at places to eat in and around the track.
It appears our beloved NOODLEBOX Asian fusion restaurant has permanently closed its Sidney location I'm in shock and my stomach is very upset. No Thai peanut noodle bowls for this guy , or anyone for that matter. Does anybody recommend anywhere else in Sidney with the same style of cuisine, or are the choices even more limited than before

Golden Arches just don't cut it .

Dustin,

We were all crushed when we heard the news. But fear not; a troubleshooting John Bowker knows the old owner and has convinced him to deliver some Noodleboxes from his next nearest Noodlebox location (about 20 mins away). We're still working out the logistics but the plan will likely involve multiple deliveries over the weekend. More info to come.

Hahaha!!!!!.....I did 9 of 9 a few years back (Calgary WCICS 2012?)

Unfortunately I can't make the race this year due to a prior commitment I can't get out of. Last year I had a blast though!

Great to hear Jim going bonkers. Jim and his kid Brandon are great ambassadors for this hobby.

When someone podiums every WCICS classes at the end of an entire season, I might try the ironman thing again. One of the funnest experiences ever was the 2011 Chilliwack Race corner marshalling about an hour straight in the middle of the track for the B Mains so I could run about an hour straight in 7 A Mains without any mercy minutes.

Hope to make it out in 2017!

Ivan

Hi there,

Take a look at Page 12 of the WCICS rulebook. There is some language there around CTA bodies:
http://www.wcics.ca/pdfs/WCICS-Rules.pdf

I hope that helps!

Thanks,
Blake
