Ready to Run Raceway 2015 Summer Racing - Vancouver RRR
We're proud to bring another fun and intense season of on-road racing to the Lower Mainland.
Between the relaxed paced club races and the dramatic enduro races, are always a happy group of racers!
Please read the following details and use this thread to check race results and to keep racers talking!
Location:
BCIT Aerospace and Technology Campus
3800 Cessna Drive, Richmond, BC.
We are in the South East Lot, the gates should be open year long for racing, accessible through both the main BCIT entrance and the north-bound Russ Baker Way entrance.

Optional Days will run depending on racers choosing, and helping.
Out of Town days we encourage you to join us to tour Victoria, and Battleground, WA.

2nd - Track Materials and Surface Cleaning Day (Need Volunteers)
16th - First Club Race - Season Opener
30th - Club Race
June
6th - Optional Club Race (How badly do you want to burn tires?)
13th - Club Race
27 - Club Race
July
4,5 - No Racing - Out of Town - Victoria Speed Weekend Race
11 -Optional Club Race (taking a break, no racing)
16 to 19 - No Racing - Out of Town - Time Zone Gran Prix
25 - Club Race
August
1 - RRR Summer Challenge Trophy Race (1 day)
2 - RRR Summer Challenge Enduro (3 Hours 17.5, 3 Hours Nitro)
15 - Club Race
29 - Club Race
September
5 - Club Race
12 - Club Race - End of Season
Classes: (minimum 3 drivers or will be combined)
Open Electric TC Rubber Tire 32-36 Degrees
Open Nitro Foam Tires 32 to 45 Degrees
Mini: Orca Spec or Blinky 21.5 1200g
Scale Spec: 21.5 Blinky 1450g
F1: 21.5 Blinky
TC Stock: 17.5 Blinky 2S Hardcased Lipo 1375g
TC Mod: Open Motor and ESC 1375g
Nitro TC: .12 engine 1650 grams
Loaner Transponders and Vehicles available for new racers and guests, please inquire one week in advance.
Prices:
Tear Down Deposit - $10
First Class - $20
Second Class - $10
Additional Classes - Free
Prices are the same as last year. However, second class charge is now in effect, as we barely broke even last year. This year we absolutely have to.
That said, it is still inline with than OGR's prices, which are fair for Vancouver area rent and operations costs.
The tear down deposit encourages all racers to help with tear down. Those helping with setup on Friday nights get surprise rewards
We are a non profit club, everyone pays, everything goes back into the racing, insurance, track materials, parking charges. Ask us for full numbers if you're interested.
Facilities:
Bring your own tables, chairs and canopies. There may be some canopy space for those without.
No washrooms on site. There is a McDonalds 1 minute away. Parking is included with race entries, we are charged per car parked in the lot.
We encourage those with generators to bring them and plan with a few members to share costs.
There is shared power available with the club generator, the first 8 racers arrived without power may tap in for $2 for the day.

Saturdays:
9AM Traction Laydown
930AM Open Practice
11AM Round 1 followed by a lunch break and continued racing
Rainouts:
Race day cancellations will be on the morning of, and depending on interest will be moved to the Sunday, or cancelled altogether.

Looking forward to it. Also I'm in talks with a few suppliers and I'm hoping to have tires and sauce on sale trackside. Still working out the details though.

Mini turn out is usually pretty good. You will at least make the minimum car count to race

Great season opener. We liked this part of the lot and may run on it next time.
Today's track was perfect for high speeds, full heats and smiles.
Next race day is May 30th!
