Yeah me too, a week will come soon.

Gotta remember to charge my batteries and put fresh tires on. In one 12th round I didn't charge my pack and the main I ran on plastic. lol!

And agreed - thanks Dustin and Brian for making the trip down.

Martin. My 12th motor only came off at 145 after the main.
83.57mm rollout 41.5mm tires 78/50 spur/pinion

TC was 215. Lol. With a 4.06 FDR. That's 92/43
By the by. Those Older LRP X12 motors really don't mind 180-200. But not recommended

You bet! Racing this weekend! Practice Saturday night, doors open @ 6pm for set-up, practice till about 11-12. Race day on Sunday, doors open @ 8:30am, first heat on the line @ 9:45. Will try and get in 4 quallies again! More track time the better, right?

Last race day went well, we did get in 4 quallies and the mains by 5pm, but it could go a bit smoother.

In theory, with 2 12th scale heats, 3 6min heats, and a novice heat, 5min between heats, and a 10min break between rounds, we should be done by 4:30 and this is with a 45min lunch break. Last weekend, we had to tighten up the last round to 3min between heats, and we did not run the main for novice(broken cars). We where close, but still went longer than I would like. (We are supposed to be out of the facility at 5pm)

Some of this was my fault, I need to be more on top of getting things going on time.

One of the biggest time killers is people not being ready for their heat on time, and people not being ready at the track to marshal the next heat. We need to work on this.

I do not want to rush things, but at the same time, I really want to keep on schedule.

Time management is part of racing, we all have the same time to prep for the next race, this time is fixed, and is set by the number of heats in a round. As most people are on the track ready for their heat, the amount of time between rounds is not the issue. Last week, it was 73min., this is plenty of time to charge batteries and make any adjustments to your car. However, I was constantly calling for racers to the line, and for marshals.

I am all for giving a mercy minute when needed, but if the same few people are always late, then no more, the race will start on time! It is not fair to the 5 racers that are ready to be always waiting for the last person to check in.

Please don't get me wrong, last week went well, this is not about rushing through the day, it is about keeping on a set time schedule, getting as much track time as possible, and keeping it fair/predictable to all.

With a bit of practice on time management, it will be much easier, maybe bring a timer to set to keep you on track.

That's it for now, I'm looking forward to this weekend, our last race of the year!

See you all at the track!

I just was thinking, is everyone good with the order we run the classes? If not, let me know and I will change it.

Also, the times I posted above look like a good guideline on if we run 3 or 4 quallies, that is, if we can get though a round in less than 75min, then we will do 4 rounds, if more than 75min, 3 rounds. (if turn out is low, we will not do less than 60min rounds, ie; the break between rounds will be longer) This will give everyone time to prep., I think.

I've got 2 Xmas parties this weekend so I definetly won't make practice and probably legally won't be able to drive Sunday morning. If I'm not a total write off I might make it out at some point Sunday.
