Default Vancouver Touring Car Championship (VTCC) Registration

VMAR's big event is fast approaching - the on-road event of the summer will be held August 27-28 at the VMAR raceway in Aldergrove.

Classes:

1/10 Scale Novice (Anything Goes)
1/10 Scale Stock (ROAR-legal 27 turn motors)
1/10 Scale 19t (Locked-endbell Spec 19t motors)
1/10 Scale Modified (No motor limit, includes brushless)
1/10 Scale Nitro

We would like everyone to try to adhere to ROAR weight rules - 1525g for electric touring cars and 1725g for nitro. Scales will be provided for racers to check their weight.

Cost is $20 for your first class, and $10 for an additional class.

Pre-Registration

We've had tons of interest, so we'd like to get some pre-registration started so that it's not quite so hectic on the actual day of the event.

If you wish to pre-register, please e-mail [email protected] with the following details:

Classes you wish to run
Radio Frequency
Personal Transponder #
Contact Address and Phone Number

We hope to see you all out there on the 27th. This should be a great race! More details are available on the VMAR main page: http://www.vmar.ca

Personal Transponder? What if I.. don't.. have one?

I'd send in my pre-reg, but I guess it's a bit of a problem if I don't even have my car yet. Do you allow people to foot-race if their cars break?

I'll beat ALL OF YOU in my MIP titanium anodized boost-bottle-equipped 30% Nitro ported Nikes!!!! AHHAHAHHAAA!!!

....

Seriously though, I really really hope to be ready for this race. I've been out of the hobby for 8 years and looking to drag my friend along with his Nitro TC3. We'll take up the back of the pack with style!

Serious question... what if we don't have a personal transponder?

Awesome. Thanks Alfred. There won't be a Friday night session - come bright and early on Saturday morning to get rolling.

What kind of surface and course can we expect?

Blacktop? Concrete? Long sweeping turns, or technical? Or.. is it a surprise?

It's pretty fresh blacktop - we run the same layout most weeks, so there is a very high traction driving line on the surface.

It's set up to accomodate Nitro cars, so it's pretty wide open - there are a couple of technical spots, but for the most part, you will be able to keep speed up around the infield.
