Default Medicine Hat Shootout....Arcor Race Series Final

Just over 3 weeks now until the Shootout, and I am in the process of ordering trophies, so if you are planning on coming to our race please get signed up on rc signup so that I have an idea of what trophies to order, as of right now it looks like we will be having a buggy lite class and are very close to having a truck lite class, so get your entries in there. Also if you are signed up and will not be able to make it please take your entry off.

We have approx 6 rv spots available, depending on size of rv, these will be first come first serve but you MUST reserve a spot prior to coming, and from there you pick your spot when you arrive, we will have someone there to show you where the spots are and to ensure that everyone who has reserved has a spot to park. Dave Cole and Kevin Thompson I have you each down for a spot as per your request earlier on in the ARCOR thread.

1.Dave Cole 30'ish
2.Shawn Deagnon 30'
3.John Herasymiuk ?
4.Gary Fliegel ?
5.Chris Caso-Rohland 41'
6.Brent (brookerb1) 30'

In the next day or two I will post up hotel info and more info on the drivers social.

Any questions please post here or email me and I will do my best to get you an [email protected]

I've had a few issues with the RC4 transponders (as has Leighton in offroad) where the transponder will register, but laps won't be counted. I contacted MyLaps to see what the issue could possibly be.

Apparently there is a restriction on older versions of the firmware that treat some transponder numbers as illegal. Here is the response from MyLaps regarding this issue - please check to see if your transponder numbers fall into this range:

Transponders between 1000000 and 2097152 are marked “illegal transponder” by older versions of RC Scoring Pro. This issue was fixed in recent versions of the software. I asked Douglas Hay (RC Scoring Pro) about this and he replied:
They would need version 2-15-2013 or newer (Feb 15th, 2013). Meaning that the tracks you race at need to have the latest version of their scoring software in conjunction with the new RC4 timing systems.

So, if you have a transponder in the aforementioned range, you're hooped unless the firmware is updated at all the tracks to the latest version.

I'll be posting this message to other threads to make sure our WCICS tracks (and the various off-road tracks) know about this issue.

The address of the track is 851 Industrial Ave. If you are coming from the west on HWY#1 turn left off the hwy onto first street at the right after you cross the river, follow first street all the way to North railway street, turn right on north railway street, you will keep on north railway street, going under an overpass, through a schoolzone(make sure you slow down they watch it closely), you will com to a Y in the road, there is a yield sign there and a Korner convenience store, take the right fork, keep going until you cross the creek, there will be a warehouse on your right, turn into the parking lot and follow the lot infront of the building, on the west side you will see a grass road leading into the track.

Default Saturday Night Social

Every year at our race we have a Saturday night social, this is not just for drivers but for anyone that wants to attend. It's a time where we can relax, have dinner and socialize all without leaving the track. This year the cost of the dinner is $15

BBQ Beef on a bun
Baked Beans
Roasted potatoes
Ceasar Salad
Vegetable Platter
Corn on the cob (as long as it is still available)

All you need to bring is a chair, your appetite and some money!

I do need to know how many people will be attending to make sure that I have enough food for everyone, so please either post here, pm me or email me at [email protected]. You can pay when you register and pay for your race fees either Friday night (preferred) or Saturday morning.

So far I have on my list

Larry Blois
Jeff Cohen
Bruce Bexte
Tim (Mickey Silver)
Jamie Roe
James Hollinger

Hi Mark

It would be great if you could attend our race, I think everyone always has a good time. You can register on the Friday of the race that isn't a problem. There is definitely room for tents, and as for the social yes it is a dinner that we have Saturday night, all info is in the post above. Hope to see you and your buddies at our race.

We will also be having the pitman race again this year if there is enough interest, as well as a 50/50 draw.
