Default Canada Post strike.

Anyone else a little worried about the impending strike by Canada Post? I have about 4 different orders from different places on the way so I'm praying they don't strike.

This is what I have heard.

"Canadian postal strike on hold while talks continue Monday, May 23rd, 2011

(Updated 5.30pm) Canadian postal workers will not strike before Saturday (May 28) as negotiations between Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers continue regarding a new wage deal."

I'm stoked. I have $5200 worth of product hitting customs today. Hopefully it makes it to me before the strike.

BURN YOU LOCAL ### TO THE GROUND! BWHAHAHHA!

Later,

Default Canada Post

Where to start...the most useless, uncaring bunch of people we have working for the country.

The only way this will be fixed is to fire all of the workers and make Canada Post a private company. If only they were half as good as USPS!!!

It wont be this week for sure as they have to give all the union people 72 hours notice prior to the strike. I know a couple of people at purolator who are under the same system as the Canadian Mail and they are waiting for that notice but havent seen it yet.

They had better not strike, I'm also waiting on stuff, as if it isn't bad enough when customs holds things for a week, and then charges extra on top of shipping

I'm in the same boat, waiting on 3 different orders... all my trucks are down at the moment. Good news is a co-worker in the US is letting me use there address so I can just send stuff down there and then take the 1.5 hour drive and pick it up when its all there.... no more canada post for me.

I was at the post office yesterday and was told it will happen tonight at midnight if they don't reach an agreement.
