Hi was thinking of coming out this Friday to race with my mini, It's been 20 plus years since I've raced and would like to get back into it.

Do you guys have any advice for a newbie as far as what to bring and etiquette as far as track set up tables etc. I dropped by to watch on the 19th but couldn't stay very long. I was impressed by the turnout.

Thanks

Dave

We often get into the hangar around 5 PM.

First thing is setting up the track, race computer, speakers, power, etc.
Then we setup the tables for pitting.

Registration ends around 6:45 and racing starts at 7 if we are running on time.

Recently we have been getting 2 Qualifiers and a Main. We tend to see a round lasting 1.5 to 2 hours.

so order of operations is:

Setup Tack
Setup Pit
Register
Race 1st Qualifier
Marshall for the race following yours
Resort racers based on first round results.
Race 2nd Qualifier
Marshall for the race following yours
Resort racers based on second round results.
Race Main
Marshall for the race following yours
Pack up and tear down Pit
Pack up track

Go home and get ready for next week.

Thanks, it might be a bit tight to get there by 5 but I'll try. Anything that's required to bring? Extension cords, power bar etc, lipo bags mandatory?

Thanks again

I went by yesterday, track is bare and dry. Looks quite clean. There's a little damage to the pit wall boards. Snow tomorrow !!!!!! need some heat at least 12+. If your Lemans is on foam all you going to do is "TIMMIES" donuts that is...........Have fun !!!!

Please note, as per NASCAR rules, there will be no racing this friday, April 1. Please come down to the Calgary WCICS race and support our sister club!

I hope the executive decides to organize a race this year. So great to run with folks from out of town!
