When you guys get a carbon fiber chassis i know sanding the edges down is important. so do you dry sand or wet sand, the sanding paper? while sanding the carbon fiber edges. then ca glue the edge after all the sanding.
I just need a mask now so i don't breath in the dust particles.

I was told to wet sand Marc. I think that helps with the dust particle problem as well.

Are you guys racing Jan 1 or just running a practice? What times are you going to be practising/racing?

Hi guys, I figured this would be a good place in the forum to post some questions I have, as you're all Edmonton/Alberta RC car enthusiasts and would be the best source of information.

Does anybody have suggestions on where to do some car test drives, perhaps on the south side or west end? I live in Leduc. I'm a custom car builder, not a racer; my creations are mostly highly-customized resto-mods of vintage cars, they wouldn't fit in any race category these days. They're all one-offs and with my racing skillz, I'd just destroy them if I raced them.

However, especially in winter, I can't think of anywhere I could go to do safe test-drives of my cars...some of which are 1/12-scale pan cars that need a very flat surface to drive on. The Kingsway track looks great, but it's way out-of-the-way for me. I'm not looking to race, just tweak speed, gearing, ESC parameters, etc.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Here's a link to some completed projects, if anybody's interested in wasting some time:

Have you tried asking a local Gym if you could for the winter use one of the main gyms space where you are not in the way of anyone? and test your rc's this in my opinion is a idea to look at.
