Havnt even picked up my 1/12 scale car yet! lol So I guess I'll see how things go when I buy and build it.

In the mean time I'll just run in GT till I get it up and running. Thanks for the input JoeRocket!

I just tried out a small LiPo (Micro-T pack) and regulator as I have a CC Sidewinder in my car. Works like a charm though we will see how it lasts over an 8 minute race. Before I put the LiPo in the Sidewinder would not even fire the motor. the only mod you have to do is pull the red wire from the speed controller rx plug to disable the BEC.

No problem!

I am going to try the Mamba with a lipo reciever pack and regulator in my 1/10 pan car. Lots of room in that car. This saves me from moving my 4 cell GTB around.

I ended up buying a 5.5 sensored brushless setup. After talking with one if the more experienced guys it sounds like a much better setup than the Mamba. The Speed control will also run properly on 4-6 cells, and is MUCH smaller. i think I will be happier in the end as well. I might try the Mamba for one night to see how it does. Might end up selling the Mamba setup in the end but we'll see.

There was a guy on RC Tech showing a Novak 8.5 in his CRC, looked nice, he reckoned it ran well too !!
