Default Over Geared Racing for BC Crime Prevention & RCMP

Over Geared Racing is very proud to hold an rc race event to raise money for BC Crime Prevantion Association & RCMP.
Over Geared would like to give something back to the community, so proceeds from this race will go to BCCPA and help prevent crimes in our community.
With help from sponsors like RC Pro Shop and Borgfeldt Canada, we plan on making this one event as much fun and exciting for spectators as well as racers. There will be demontration cars that the public can drive and car kits to be won.

The format will be just like a club race.
Sunday, September 5, 2004
We will be starting early morning so get there early.
Lansdown Mall parking lot, Richmond
Race fee will be the same: $15.00 for 1st entry, $8.00 for 2nd entry.
Classes will be Mod, 19T, stock, Formila 1 and Nitro.
Bring your own tent, tables, chairs, and power(cars)
More details to come as it becomes available.

Come and joint the fun and help us let the community know that the rc racing in Vancouver is alive and well and that we care.

***** UPDATE *****

Over Geared Racing is proud to welcome Team 1 Hobbies as a sponsor for this charity event. Ray is generously allowing us to use his AMB system for this event. His AMB system allows racers the use of personal transponders if you own one. If you don't own one, don't worry. Regular transponders are also available.

The use of personal transponders is beneficial in many ways such as:
- Lighter than regular transponders therefore will not effect your cars setup as much. You can use the weight to permanently balance your ride.
- Your own persanal no. which imposible to conflict with another becuse of their coding.
- Easier mounting on to your chassis. No more drilling holes is your new concourse winning body.
- Will always be mounted to your chassis which prevents forgeting to put in a transponder.
- Some programs can be set to display lap time while you are practicing to aid in car setup.
- Less cost to race organizer as transponders are very expensive to repair or replace when damaged.

If you wish to have your very own personal transponder, contact Ray at Team 1 Hobbies. I believe he might still have some in stock.

I've raced at the Langley track and the AMB system only has one set of 10 or 15 transponders. Hope it's enough in case a lot of racers show up.

The idea is for everyone to have thier own so that the club does not need to spend money replacing these very expensive transponders when there break. Being in an RC car, eventually they will break.
There should be enough as only the max of 10 can be used.

The AMB transponders I say,it be good for first timers and rookies that had just started in the r/c world as it's not cheap to buy a personal for someone that just started in the hobby..For more advanced racers and die hards they should have personal transonder and you know you be racing all the time. All you need is just one so you can always transfer to any other cars. I do.Thats my 2 cent.

Come on out of the rain before it really hits us hard and don't see the sun for the next 10 months. Besides, it's for a great cause.
