Default 1/10 Off Road Tracks

Our club is in the process of laying a new track for the Nationals
any advice that can be given would be much appreciated.

What is the best type of Surface.

What is your idea of a good layout.

What do you add to the surface to hold it together.

How do you maintain the racing surface during the season.

Pics of your track layout.

Default check out some pics

Real easy to find to pics of tracks. As for track here in Canada, check out the WCORCS thread for some tracks here in the West.

Surface - clay is usually good for holding its shaped but it does blow away it not kept damp during the race day.

Maintainence - a good rake, a garden roller (filled with water) and dedicated club members are all it takes to maintain any offroad track.

As for holding the surface, I think that having some actually garden soil in there helps, but I don't have any personal experience with that. Our Current track is clay.

The clay really soaks up the water and stays hard throughout the race day. Great stuff to race on when its kept smooth.

hope this helps you out
