The track is generally considered medium to high bite by the time SpeedWeekend rolls around, assuming we don't get much rain between now and then.
For Pro10 - JACO pinks, yellows, whites, and greens in the rear, and pink, purple, and blacks up front. We have guys running medium and high downforce bodies depending on the car/driver/setup. Sauce is Corally Jack or Paragon. Some use suntan lotion as well.
We change the layout every year but it's guaranteed to have high speed and tight technical sections. You have to have your car setup to work in both scenarios.
Pretty much be ready for anything and everything

As a "Wank'n Yank" thinking of "Invading your Island Paradise", what are some of the setup specs your 235mm Pan Car guys run? (mainly rollout, tire shore, and tire sauce). And what tire shore for Gas Sedan?
I've heard good things about your program and this event sounds like fun.
Thanks in advance Guys.

Great to hear that you are interested in coming up for the race! Mick answered the Pro10 questions nicely. As for Gas Sedan, a good setup is Jaco Nitro Shoes, 38 Rear and 35 Front. I run this on my NT1 as do many other Nitro racers at IROCC.
I hope this helps. Don't hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.

Just two weeks away!
Hey all Speed Weekend fans! We're just two weeks away from the big event and IROCC has been very busy getting everything in place.
Some recent news:
For the 5th year in a row, Phil Cady of CLSWEST has graciously offered to supply everyone with a free Subway lunch on Saturday! Subs will be delivered to the track at about 12:30PM on Saturday.
For the 2nd year in a row, LA Tanning and kalwood web works will be supplying free soft drinks to all racers over the course of the weekend.
Ryan Welch of Van Houtte will be onsite with tasty Van Houtte coffee products.
Trophies:
Trophies for 2010 are a whole new "plexi" concept, dreamed up by our very own artistic genius Mick Szirmay. Continuing in our tradition of awarding prizes to all contestants, each and every racer will receive a trophy. We've also added TQ trophies this year.
Track Stuff:
As per usual, we'll be using our sugar coating process to offer unbelievable traction on the asphalt. And of course we'll be making use of RC Scoring Pro as our timing software which will be live during the morning/evening practice sessions to call your laptimes for you. Personal transponders are supported, and we'll have handout transponders for those without personals.
July 10/11 - We hope to see you all here!

Hey Blake,
Yes, believe it or not, I am going to be attending this race this year and am totally looking forward to it! I'm pretty sure Jason will be joining me and we will be traveling down together. Do you have a sign-up going or is it on a different site?
Look forward to see you in 1 1/2 weeks......

Hi Brent,
That's great news! I'm looking forward to seeing you on IROCC asphalt! Imagine... a race weekend where all you have to do is... race!
You can sign-up here if you want, but normally we do the registration in-person on Friday night and Saturday morning.
Our RC Scoring Pro database already has most of the Lower Mainlanders loaded, so it's quick and easy. We don't have you in the system yet, so I guess it would help to know your Class/Freq/Transponder info ahead of time.
Thanks,
Blake

Hi all,
Just a note that we'll be using the basic ROAR guidelines for weight/width/etc....
Touring Stock, Touring SuperStock, Touring Modified
Minimum weight = 1420g
Maximum width (not including body) = 190mm
Wing must not extend higher than the roofline
6 Minute Qualifiers/Mains
Touring Nitro
Minimum weight = 1725g
Maximum width (not including body) = 200mm
5 Minute Qualifiers
Pro10
Minimum weight = 1200g
Maximum width (not including body) = 235mm
5 Minute Qualifiers/Mains
We will also tech LiPo battery voltages before certain qualifiers. LiPo batteries cannot exceed 8.40V.
Anyway, all pretty standard stuff.
