Questions??

Just a question for the organisers. The Richmond Group (Indy Hobbies Crew) is planing on making the voyage. However there are quite a few of us wondering if you would consider running a Tamiya Mini Spec Class.

As much as I would like to run another class I'm afraid that we already have enough classes and adding any more would add too much to the length of the race day. Obviously if numbers are lower than expected, then we may look at this request closer to the event but for the most part it will most likely stay as is.

Thanks for your understanding and we look forward to seeing you at this event.

Default Mini

Gord,

Get a confirmed number for us...we'll just cut Stock Rubber to make room for Mini

Serious though, find out how many guys would be interested. I personally would like to see the class run again.

Also, Brent is right, the sooner we know who is coming, the sooner we can plan out the schedule for the race day. It seems posting on here doesn't help as much as we think it should. Can all Hobby Shops and Clubs put the word out? Take the regis at the track/store and post on here??

Perhaps we need to provide a discount to those who register early like we used to.

In my opinion based on the numbers fron the Big Chill the pro 10 cars are few and far between. There were only 8 cars consisting of 6 fron the island, Chris Lim from Overgeared and myself. The mini class started here with 6 cars, last race weekend we had 22 registered cars and thats without all the regulars in attendance. We race again this weekend and i'll bring it up to the other Mini drivers. 3 of the guys that were talking about coming to the Kamloops race only have Tamiya Mini's so without the class thats 3 less participants.

Default Mini Army

Holy...that would be awesome to see 22 mini's running. Find out how many will come up, if we have to pack the qualifiers (8cars) to fit you guys in, I think its worth it. And I know of two locals that have a Mini and probably wouldn't mind racing them again.

But I was serious to all the others, PRE REGISTER NOW. It would be a shame to shoot down one class in favour of another, then have that one show low numbers.

Gotcha Keith...first official entry, now lets get the ball rolling.

What kind of rules are we talking for these Mini's and can everybody agree on one set of rules?

Talking

The minis we run basicly TCS rules with the exception of tires and bodies. Silver can , 1400g hard case Lipo allowed any reasonable battery, all must meet weight. Most guys and girls are running bone stock kits. Fun Times.

its a little hard to "cheat" with minis

underweight ones flip too much

ones with adjusted camber links dont make a difference as there is so much play in the whole cars suspension/drivetrain

its a good solid fun class

Gord, you have a PM....I need the rules, specifics that the majority of you are running down there for the Mini Class....we need to all be on the same page and agree to it if we are going to run this class.

Thanks,
