Just curious as to why Friday evenings were chosen. I'd have to take the afternoon off work to make it in time to race from Vancouver. Not realy an option.

It has to do with booking the building and the rental. I believe the costs are much cheaper on weekdays. Also theres not enough money in it to make a profit, I think Chad barely broke even last year......if that.
Remember this is only a couple people and the racers putting this on.

Thanx Bernie for clearing this up.
You are right about the rental costs. There is alot of other racing going on saturdays and sundays but none on friday nights .There are as many pros as cons on which day/night would be better. My first idea was so I could still race on road on saturday in the lower mainland or island and a sunday race in the interior or a saturday race in the states. There are a few racers that come out from the city and they may show up a little later but none the less they get lots of track time.We get going at 4:30pm for practice and racing at 6:00 pm and we wind it up at 10:30-11:00pm.I allow anybody to show up and throw down some laps when ever they show up.It aint the world championships.Last friday I had a record showing of helpers to build the track a total of 5 people ,yeeehh!!!! and it showed in the quality of the layout and track conditions. So come on out.

See you all in the new year.(maybe at on road this weekend)

Hey guys,

I managed to convince my gf to get me a Duratrax Evader BX for xmas and I've been itching to get out on the track. I can't even run my car outside right now on account of all this stupid snow/rain!

Anyway, sounds like you guys have a good time out there and I wouldn't mind checkin the place out. Ripping around a dirt track will be a nice change from the concentration/coordination required to fly my 4ch heli. I'm totally new to rc racing, so if anyone has any tips as to what to bring and what to do/not do that would be cool.

Not sure if I can make it on the 16th, but I should be able to make the 23rd.

Hey Brad, all you need to bring is an extention cord, a chair if you get there early enough there will be tables with 110v power and some warm clothes and a good attitude. If you have any more questions see me at the track and I will help you get out there.
