Default name and other stuff

just a suggestion for the series name.

Something like the recently finished offroad series, but instead of "Offroad", change it to "Indoor".

Ex. Western Canadian Indoor Championship Series.

Or the Alberta Indoor Championship Series?? Just a thought or two.

I would like to come down to the Calgary leg and maybe one other event. Is there a confirmed location for Calgary? Are they still racing in the horse shoe place? How about narrow pancars? I have one of each, but would prefer to run the narrow if possible.

I'll try to keep up to date with new posts.

Good luck to all the competitors and organizers, hope you run a wonderful series.

Lightbulb JJ Mcmudd!!!!!!!

I agree, Definately time for a name change. Surely some one in our group of TRI-CITIES racers has some imagination. Your suggestion works for me..... Western Canadian....

PRICS !!!!!

Western Canadian Winter Champs ( hmm that would be WC WC)

or
the series formerly know as Tri cites??

or
Canadian Carpet Challenge ( or CCC!!)

what do I know......

seems a bit off to call it Western when we don't even venture into B.C...

Prairie Challenge Series. I really like this one and I feel it fits the bill nicely.

I like the sounds of that too. If any rules are going to get set, people from each club should get together soon the first race is 2 months away.

Prairie Challenge Series.
Sounds nice, but conjures up images of gopher throwing to me, yes I know it is probably just me, but I am still taking the pills...

Regina will be at the Bible college agian on Feb. 13-15.

Stu,
If we caged the track we could use a gofer for the gearbox class and have a Death Race 2000 thing!!

Stu, two years ago we did venture, (Kamloops); there were two racers from Alberta in attendance. I don't know the details, but I think it was just on a trial basis as it didn't count in the final standings.

Oy, I do the wire pulling thing too ya know. When I was growin up I always wondered what to do when I got older. Then funny things started happening. That's when I thought pullin my wire for life would be a great career choice. But slinging bull is a perk to the job, LOL.

Yes, Kamloops was apparently included in the series a couple of years ago, but for some reason no-one was allowed to count any points from the race, even though we (Kamloops) had a few drivers score some points at the Calgary race. In view of the above we declined to be part of the series last year.

At the time there was also some talk of a Vancouver club being part of the series, and making it a full Western Canadian series. That seems to have gone by the board too, now. A "Prairie" Championship title would seem more appropriate.

there's some strange people here

So, looking good at 4 rounds with possibly Med Het too.

It would still be great to see a standard set of rules for all rounds, with specifics like tyre additives, bodyshells that sort of thing.

and as for names, well how about The 5 Cities ? of course this looks stupid if Medicine Hat don't join, but if they do it works ( if my adding hasn't let me down!)

Has anyone decided on what is gonna happen
about brushless? Are we gonna test them in
Edmonton (first round) then decide on weather
or not to continue with them? Curious as only
2 months away as I need to plan ahead on motor(s)

Thanks Dirk

Would think if brushless is what you have run it, don't think anyone is going to scream about it for the race in Edmonton given it is our home turf.

If you are in the top ten then some might raise an issue though saying the brushless motor gives you advantage which we know the Novak Brushless does not.
