Default Rubber Stock

I almost forgot. Along with the brushless discussions we have also determined the rest of the planet runs rubber tires with stock motors so we will be switching to rubber tires stock.

Again for you Stock lovers, Rubber tires!!

Dan and Martin.....if my schedule allows it I should be there. It would be nice to lay some power down on a huge track
19 touring and touring mod
Any updates on what systems are allowed in 19 as far as brushless goes? I am testing some stuff out right now and would like to run some back to back testing at an event type race.
Thanks......Dwayne Flodell

Default Brushless 19Turn

Hi Dwayne,

We are trying to keep it simple as possible. As a guideline we are going to work with what ROAR has approved as 19turn equivalent motors. So far as i understand the only system right now is the Novak 10.5 brushless motors. The race is still two months away so any other systems approved by then will be allowed.

I have had several requests to run brushless and I believe it's time to see how they stack up against brushed motors.

WE DO NOT EXPECT YOU TO RUSH OUT AND BUY A BRUSHLESS SYSTEM
If you have a ROAR approved system all ready please bring it and run it. This is all aobut fun and getting together.

Look forward to seeing you there Dwayne.

Hey, Dan. Check out the thumbnail comparisons of Trent's dyno run of a 10.5 and Hemi K. There is a bit of a narrative/interpretation on the website as well. Looking forward to making it up your way.

I think I am still too new to know exaclty what this all means. I beleive it backs up what I have seen on the track. The brushed motors have more on the straight but the brushless can keep speed on the infield.

Thanks for the info Phil.

Hey, Dan.

You bet. This will be a gearing challenge. I think the BL can go faster but there is the real risk of overheating the motor if gearing has gone too high. With all of that torque and efficiency the motor can likely handle it. Mick and I will be testing the theory in the Pro10 cars at Kamloops. We'll be sure to post so that everyone knows what is what.
