Unfortunately, this is a fairly new chassis which shows not much interest so it's not raced up here. Sorry. love those bodies though...especially the Mugen one.

Hi it has this listed as the battery rules for GT2 and Mini , I would assume (Western TCS only) is only meaning that the much more battery is legal in BC only but you can run the peak 2400 packs still.

4. Peak Racing 2400mha spec battery must be used (item# PEK4110) or Much More GP3300 (Western TCS only)

Hey Rob,

You are correct for the Western TCS, the only 2 spec batteries thats legal for Gt2 and Mini are the Peak 2400 (Pek 4110) and Much More Gp3300.

Funny! With your so-called battery rules, is this just a way for some local distributers to sell thier own brand of battery?

Here are the North American TCS rules regarding batteries!

The batteries that are allowed for the 2006 season are: Sanyo NI-CD 2400, Sanyo NI-MH HV 3000, 3300 & 3600, Panasonic 3000 Ultra Metal Hydride, Panasonic 3000 Stock Metal Hydride, GP (Gold Peak) 3300 & 3700, 4300, Intellect Batteries 3600, 3800, 4200 and LRP 3700, EPIC 3800. LIPO batteries are not legal at this time. Sport packs that are readily available at hobby stores are legal as long as they are assembled from the general hobby industry i.e. Orion, Peak, Reedy, Duratrax, Dynamite, Trinity and Hobbico. Batteries that are purchased direct from Sanyo, Panasonic or Gold Peak that have no hobby industry branding are not legal. These batteries include those that are used in power tools and have a solid colored shrink-wrapping to them. Racers that still own batteries such as the Sanyo NI-CD 2000, 1400, 1700 or 1200 are allowed as long as they have the original hobby industry shrink wrap.

Why are you not following these rules?

hello slotcarrod.

The batteries rules that you posted up are the US TCS rules. Theses rules are not applicable for the Canadian TCS Rules/ Western TCS rules.

We appreciate the concerns that most racers brought up about the batteries issues.

The decision on the 3300 Much More batteries was made on 2 factors. TCS participants including myself did not like the quality of the 2400 blue peak battery packs. Second it supports our biggest supporter of the TCS series in Western Canada. Without the help of RC Proshop there will be NO Western TCS in the lower mainland.

Will
OverGeared Racing.

Default Western TCS series?

Could you clarify WESTERN CANADIAN TCS? Does that include manitoba, saskatchewan, alberta and B.C events and apply to just them? Would eastern canada rules then be different?

I understood that Tom Wright at borgefeldt toys was looking after all changes in the TCS series in canada. I see no updates on their link.

http://www.tamiya.ca/2007tcsrules.htm

Some clarification would be most appreciated. Thanks.
