Default Update

Hello everyone,

Hope everyone had a safe and great summer. Fall is upon us and that means we go back indoor racing.
We planned to have a safe environment for everyone to enjoy the hobby and need to abide to some common sense rules.
Practice hand wash/sanitation at the facility.

If you are sick, stay home even if you have a flu/cold or had been expose to Covid19.

Occupancy will be limited to 55 people in the GYM at the moment.
We will monitor how this progresses.
If it gets out of hand we will have to ask people to leave.
OGR have the rights to refuse entry to anyone not following guide lines.

This year certain classes will be run on selected dates.
Below are the examples what we will be running.
Dates will be label A/B/C and you will see 4 core classes and then an option class.

A. Stock touring, Mod touring, Scale spec, Tamiya Spec GT and F1

B. Stock touring, Mod touring, Scale Spec, Tamiya Spec GT and Open Mini

C. Stock touring, Mod touring, Scale Spec, Tamiya Spec GT and 12th Scale GT

New this year, we added Tamiya Spec GT and 12th Scale GT
12th Scale GT is for higher caliper drivers. (It is not intended for entry level drivers)

This is a revamped fall program from what we learnt from last season.
As usual we will implement and try out.
If there are not enough drivers for the option class, it’ll not run or carried over.
We want to create more practice and tuning time for everyone to have fun.

A min of 6 racers in order to make the class (5 will not work)
It all comes down to how many pre-registered.

FWD will be combined with Scale Spec class.
Other option classes will be eliminated if numbers doesn’t shows.

Default Oct 29th Club race

Hello everyone, what a great day yesterday.
It was our first official club race of the winter season and great to see everyone that had attended.
Our morning crew did a splendid job getting everything set up for the race around the reno.

Driver's meeting went well. We welcomed all the new and veteran seasoned drivers with new carpeting pit areas for the gym floors this season.
Some questions were answered but mostly we had to addressed house rules.
Everyone seems to be on board and had fun.

Racing started on time with time for some practices in between rounds.
It was a breaking record of pre ordered BBQ pork on rice lunch boxes.
The Gym smelled like BBQ pork at lunch time.
We must thank John Tsang for his food service given to everyone attended.
He's our hero for all the hungry racers.
Tip him, give him a hug or give him a high five.
Don't take it for granted as he's doing out of his heart for you guys.
Thank you JT.

Racing was great, close racing. A lot have yet to learn on the new track lay out.
Driving lines, gearing and patience for all the drivers. There's certain areas have good passing chances and others were not.
Lots of pre-warnings from RD and yet some ignored them.
Penalties will be handed out next time if racers decide to ignore RD warnings or not taking self action to give the other driver position back and apologize for the bad driving/hack.
No one likes to be taken out. Use your brakes and patience in passing.
Have great door to door racing and have fun.

The track was technical but also tricky. The carpets were stitched together with 3" gorilla tape for a reason.
The tape are strong and wide to hold things down.
If they get cut, that means someone's chassis screws were sticking out or the bodies were too low.
We enforced this all the time as we do not want to see tears in the tape or the carpet.
Please make sure ride heights and body meets the requirements.

Tear down were good. Hopefully, we get more help down the road.
We got out of the gym just shy of 6.30 PM thank you all that had stayed behind and helped tear down.
Your help are always much appreciated.
Further more. Results are posted.

See you all next race Nov 19th.
Reminders will be send out when the time comes to let everyone know for registrations.
Cheers.

Good afternoon everyone.
What a turn out yesterday.
Thank you to all that had made it.
As usual my morning crew coming in and did a stellar job in setting up.
We had a full house with some new drivers and lots of kids.
Thank you John Tsang again for doing BBQ lunch boxes run again.
We had a lot of hungry hungry racers

Great to see everyone was having fun and close racing yesterday.
We had to stop for carpet repairs this time. (down time)
Repairs were done quickly thanks to the carpet crew.

Scale spec class out numbered every class we had yesterday.
It's unbelievable how good this class had grown.
So much close and fun racing from beginners to experts.

This time out we brought back 12th scale GT.
It's actually great to see the comeback of it.
The rubber tires and GT bodies actually made it more fun then a pan car.
Main was a surprise for everyone. An 8 mins main were ran.
We all had great and fun racing.

Spec Tamiya class had a full grid for qualifying and main.
It's excellent to see how this class had also excelled.

Mod touring was great with good numbers of people in it.
It's not easy to start hoping those struggling will get up to speed soon.
The track was technical but fun.

Stk Touring was also great.
This class also takes the best of every driver to be in the top.
Careful, precise and smart driving will keep you out of trouble.
Second best numbered of entries for this class.

Big shout out to Bak Choi for calling the mains.
I know he's itching to come play...

At the moment there's something not letting me to upload any type of files here.
Will try uploading the results later. Stay tuned. Thanks.
