Wonder what your policies are on spectators coming out to watch some races and see what your club is all about? Was thinking this Saturday (Sept 5) to come watch and get some info on the club. Based on the first post in the thread looks like it's a club race day.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers.
spectators are welcome and encouraged. Just a few things with us trying to stay inside the Covid guidelines. Please bring and wear a mask and or socially distance. Also please remain standing beside the track and maintain a 10 foot buffer from the perimeter of the track. I believe Gripworks will have his store on location. The races are pretty helpful with questions.. so ask away.

I think that was because there were lot's of beginner that was running 21.5 in the group, so we could just use the same motor as them.

Don't know who will turn up this weekend

Default Sept 5th Race Results

Hi all, what a great day we had yesterday! 35 racers, 60+ entries and a lot of competitive, clean racing.

We've decided to add more days to RRR Schedule, weather permitting: Sep 26, Oct 3, Oct 10. Usually RRR ends at the beginning of September, but with the unknown schedule of OGR we are going to push for more racing, as long as the skies are clear. Look forward to last minute rain-cancellations if needed, and outdoor racing in October!

COVID guidelines were followed, pit spaces were clean for the most part, and we always have a healthy group for track setup and teardown. This race teardown helpers were down a few so hopefully we can have more help next time.

Next races:
Sept 5, 12, 26
Oct 3, 10

Default Oct 3rd Race Results, Season Finale

Hi all,

Looking at the forecast we are cancelling this weekend, and thus our season is completed. Thank you for attending, racing, having another great summer with us.

We had a slow start this year with COVID protocols, but we got just about a full season in, with plenty of back to back races to make up for the lack of the out-of-town events. This year we had over 15 new racers joining us, and that is the key to keeping our sport fresh and engaging, to continue improving ourselves and seeing new racers climb the ranks.

We've been doing this for over 10 years, and as we continue to change to adapt to the needs of the club year to year, what keeps us going is the smiles and epic stories that we share. We really appreciate all the newer racers joining the old timers in track setup and teardown. The hardest work is made simple by just having more of you racers come early and stay till the end, Thank You.

As we plan for the next season during the winter, please start to consider if you would like to contribute more time to the club. We can always use some one helping blow the track on Friday nights to relieve Eddie. Race directing is a great way to get to know all the racers and become more involved with the racing program; it also will help you learn the race planning and timing scoring needed by all the local clubs. It's not a commitment to take over, but rather assist the club as we continue to grow. Thankfully, there's a handful of racers that help with calling the races throughout the day, but more is always welcomed.

We also need to plan for long term changes as the club will soon (within the next couple of years) need a new place to store the track, and new van / trailer to move it around. Fast Eddie and Super Mario have been carrying the club since the beginning, and it would be nice to give them a break so that they can work a little less and play a little more too - just some things to keep in mind. Its a volunteer club and the success continues to be a result of the work we all put in.

I want to race one more time this year, maybe we can give Doug his Christmas Wish in December...

Looking forward to a start at Overgeared Racing if possible this Winter and dropping by Outlaw RC too. Support your local RC hobby shops, regional RC tracks (onroad and off), and stay healthy and safe!

We had a great final club race, with double electric mains and awesome competition across the board in all classes.
Here's the race results attached:
John
