PROTOform WCICS Round 6: Kamloops, BC, March6-8th, 2020.


The Thompson Valley R/C Race Club is once again proud to present its leg of the PROTOform WCICS Series held here in the Tournament Capital City of Canada, Kamloops, BC. This event will take centre stage upon the Basketball Courts at the Tournament Capital Centre. We have a large dedicated pit area on the North Court, directly adjacent to the track. Please be sure to register on wcics.ca and sign up to take advantage of all the great features.

This just a few minutes from our usual location at the TCC. Head to back side of Mall. Drive passed the pub towards the "E-BUS" pickup location. Back door to track will be Marked with the "Thompson Valley R/C" Logo. OR enter the main mall next thru the entrance at the pub, and you will find the track just inside.


Track Details:

84’X36' CRC FT2 Black Carpet with Clik Trak Barrier System UPDATE - 60x36' Track Size (possibly 60x48).
Dedicated Pit Area
AMBrc (RC4 Supported)
RC Scoring Pro
Tables and Chairs provided along with a 110V cheater board.
Long extension cords are encouraged.
Pit Towels REQUIRED for the tables.

Touring classes require the use of the provided Sweep QTS32BK “True Black” handout tire at $35 CAD
12th Scale 17.5 requires the use of the purple stripe spec tire (racers must provide their own purple stripe tires).

Demo Classes:

RCar - 17 T Brushed Motor, NiMh Battery Pack, 190 TC Body Shell and Spec Rubber Tires. Please see Jason Mardon for more details on this club level class.

4:00PM to 9:00PM Open Practice and Registration
9:00PM to 9:15PM Drivers Meeting & Concourse
9:15PM to10:00PM Open Practice and Registration

Track CLOSED @ 10:00 PM

Saturday, March 7th
7:30AM to 8:45AM Open Practice and Late Registration
9:00AM – Qualifying Begins, 3 Rounds with resort after each round.
Open Practice after the 3rd Round

Sunday, March 8th
7:00AM to 7:20AM - Open Practice
7:30 - Triple Mains

Guys and Gals - just a few days until this event.

Reminder of some of the updates
Track Location - moved to Sahali Mall (address/directions above).
Track Size - KRC will be sending up a 4th roll of carpet to bring the size to 48ft wide, by about 60+ feet long.

12th Mod will not be running. Please bring alternate second car.

Still hope to have the doors Friday for Practice/Pit Setup for 3pm. Registration and tires to follow around 6pm. Drivers meeting 9pm. Gonna be a relaxed weekend everyone, so lets keep it fun.

...also, heard rumurs of a challenge to take place with the TVRCRC Demo Car Fleet among the TC Mod Drivers.

thanks to the group that helped this evening. New layout is ready for the 4th roll of carpet to arrive tomorrow afternoon. ...we will be a bit later than planned, track should be open for 5pm.

Sorry I was not able to make it this year, I'll be flying to next year's event and ensuring there's no date conflicts as well.
