2018 WORS Round #1 Big Barn Shootout. April 6,7,8 Chilliwack BC
Hello everyone and welcome to the 2018 Big Barn Shootout! This is the largest indoor off-road event in BC. With 40,000 sq ft of dirt heaven inside a huge building with excellent ventilation for nitro. This season we have stepped it up with a full Friday practice, a dedicated race director, more event sponsors, live streaming the event which allows racers to use their smart phones to display race heat sheets and results and so much more! Brian Serneels along with our amazing track crew will be stepping up the track design to make an even more exciting layout!

WOW What can I say besides Last years layout was epic
I dubbed it a "feel good" track. It's gonna be a hard one to beat. But you guys nailed it last year. So I have faith in the track crews design.
Already registered. And can't wait for this year.

Last years race was amazing!
It was the first time I seen a race of this size. Meeting so many new racers from all over the province was great to see too. If I was to recommend people not forget to pack in their equipment is really long extension cords and some warm clothes!

Hello racers, please read the following before completing your sign up for the Big Barn event.
Here are a few important clarifications for the Big Barn race along with all series events.
Please go to the 2018 Western Off-road Racing Series thread to read the complete official series rules.
Here are a few important clarifications for the Big Barn race along with all series events.
- If you sign up for Novice you will only run Novice class.
- If you sign up for Sportsman E Buggy you won't be allowed to run any other 1/8 scale classes. Sportsman is for new racers to 1/8 scale. You may run in any of the 1/10 classes.

We are very happy to announce we have confirmed Justin Wilde as the RD for this years race!
For those of you who don’t know, Justin has been the RD for the NCT series in the past as well as the conquer the carpet and one of he liverc commentators during last years world championship in China.
Justin brings invaluable experience to the race and will help us keep the day moving nicely. This is going to help take the barn race to whole new level.
We are very happy to announce we have confirmed Justin Wilde as the RD for this years race!

This is an amazing announcement, Justin is one of the best. If not the best Off-road announcer I have heard. If any of you have yet to race the NCT tour, this years barn race will give you a taste of how lucky those guys are to have this guy involved in their series. NCT thrives with his skill of the race program and his dedication to the hobby is second to none. Really a quick thinker and excellent problem solver. This years race sound like it will hit the 300+ mark. We need a guy who is 100% dedicated to RDing .
Okay that's enough sucking up. Lol.
But I could hardly wait for this race before Jeez now I won't be able to sleep

All T-shirts and Hoodies will come with the WORS logo and graphic on the front along with the 2018 race schedule on the back.

Big Barn Shootout weekend camping.
Camping is available at the barn race. $15.00/night dry camping $25.00/ night with power. We don't recommend tenting because the ground tends to be quite damp this time of year. The photo shows the area available plus there is plenty in front of the building (highway side). There is a free sani station beside the front entrance.
