Hey Alex and Dwayne,

We'll definitely be hosting Speed Weekend 2006 this summer. We had tremendous fun doing the race last summer and we were absolutely blown away by the level of support shown from Vancouver, Campbell River, Edmonton, Airdrie, and Washington state.

Oh, and Alex, I grew up in Sidney... great little town! We're actually in negotiations with the town of Central Saanich (quite close to Sidney and the ferries/airport) to hold the race during "Central Saanich Days". This would give the race really good exposure.

Hey Alex,

For sure, we're hoping to have the dates nailed down in the next couple of weeks.

Yep, it's a long trek: I've done the drive on a couple of occasions for two different summer races in Edmonton. It works well if you can get a van with three or four people to take driving shifts.
