Speedworld Raceway in Roseville, NorCal Hobbies in San Jose, Ripon Speedway in Ripon, Hobbytown in Fresno, Ground Pounders in Windsor or Rohnert Park, P1 Hobbies in Ukiah and Delta R/C Hobbies in Antioch. F1 is the biggest pan car class at this time, very fun to drive. 1/12 is slowly gaining ground, we had a 4 car 17.5 class in May at Ripon. Almost every car manufacture has a pan car kit. Be it a 1/10 WGT, 235mm, F1 or 1/12, GT12 the list is growing, Kawada even has the m500gt2r pan car running on TC rubber tires (this would be a SWEET class). I am a huge pan car fan and have been driving my 1/12 as much as possible. I am posting this as to encourage everyone to dust off their old pan cars or if they have been thinking about getting a new one to do so and get them on the track. It’s lonely being the only 1/12 here at Speedworld. I am also building a Pro10 – 235mm pan car (rc10L and a Twister Cyclone [FLASH BACK 80’s]). My proposed classes are as follows (just throwing them out there, specs can change at any giving moment):

1/12 – open, 1s
1/12 - 10.5, 1s
1/10 – wgt or 235mm, open, 1s - 2s ?
1/10 – wgt or 235mm, 10.5, 1s - 2s ?

The pan car is coming back! Prepare yourself…

Your input is greatly appreciated
It's true, the pan car is caming back!
Last Sunday I had the opportunity to test the CRC 1/12 pan car and boy I was very impress on how fast and smooth was this pan car on asphalt surface. Those foam tires have good grip, obviously, the track traction helped a lot too. In Two weeks I will test the 1/10th Pan car. So if I the test run pass my expectation then I will add this RC Race Class in my current RC Race Program:

GT12 2s Spec 17.5
Pro10 2s Spec 17.5
Pro10 1s Spec 10.5

Yes, it's true Pan car is coming back!

fantastic, if I make it down there I'll swing by. I should be down for nitro testing in Gardena before the KO race, next month or so.

We all need to make decisions on what classes we are going to run. We are going to start our GT 10th scale class we will discuss 13.5 or 17.5 motors and the tires rubber or foam.In
1/12th scale I beleive we are leaning towards 10.5 blinky for our track it is the perfect speed the cars are as fast as a fast 17.5 touring car. We had 7 1/12th scale cars last night all the car's were the same speed except one car that had a 6.5 in it and his fastest lap was only .3 fasters then the rest of the field.
I sure would like to see a pan car series but we need to coalesce around some rules we all can live by and soon .

You need to limit it to 2 pan car classes 3 max. There is only so much time in a race day.

I'll be there running:

17.5 TC
21.5 USGT
25.5 VTA

and I am also bringing my Rubber Tire World GT that has 1s and 17.5 which is the norm for the rules and what all of us run here in So Cal. Hopefully the others from Cam will bring theirs and we can run that class as well.

Talk about Busy!
