Will the Opening Round at Coyote Hobbies have the same layout they just put in for the Mid Summer Shootout or will there be a whole new lay out for TNS?

Default 2nd race won't be at ADRC

ADRC closed it's doors last night after less than a year in business. Looks like they'll need to find another track. Poorly run track, badly managed, = closed doors & out of business.

The Top Notch Summer Series Opener brought to you by Jconcepts got off to a great start with 18 heats this past weekend. Everything about the event lived up to the naming convention "Top Notch" as the first Round ran smooth with big race action and huge raffle prizes. New addition Kyle Hidalgo manned the mic and kept the race action clean and fair as well as very exciting with colorful commentary. Cow RC's Tech Booth was ran by the promoter Erik "notch" Johnson where they weighed and measured the cars each round in addition to pre and post tech inspection for the 17.5 classes.
Things kicked off at 6am with registration and controlled practice as racers filled the pit spaces of Coyote Hobbies. As it came closer to start time Notch Johnson conducted a Drivers Meeting going over the rules of the road, Thank You award to Dave Batta of Coyote Hobbies and a Moment of Silence in honor of Michael Beaver.
Race Reports are hitting the Boards and major websites as the podium pictures feature Jconcepts car stand awards with custom wrapped graphics. Everyone is looking forward to Round 2 of the TNS Summer Series July 12th at SCVRC in Santa Clarita.

The Top Notch Summer Series has just completed its Third round in the 6 Round Summer Series and has reached the halfway point. Amazingly it is still not to late to join the series in Round 4 Bakersfield on August 23rd and still qualify for the overall championship in points and of course the Cow Rc Championship mats for 1st place in the series.

Inland Empire R/C Raceway (IERC) is home to the promoter and head announcer of TNS Mr. "notch" Johnson. Week in and week out you can find notch calling the shots on Wild Wednesdays and Raffle Friday Club racing. IERC is an amazing 24,000 sq Ft facility boasting all the necessary amenities to live up to the naming convention "Top Notch" 120 permanent pit spots, two tire washing stations, mister system, Air Compressor, swap colors, heaters onsite snack bar and OH YEAH.... r/c parts in the Pro Shop. Owners Larry and Debbie do an incredible job of offering a fun filled family friendly environment. Props- This place is nice and when you make it to San Bernardino you will be welcomed with smiling faces.

This Round of the TNS had a very strong showing in attendance with 26 heats and over 200 race entries. The morning started off smooth with nearly an hour of free practice, followed by an hour and a half of controlled practice. Notch conducted a thorough drivers meeting covering all the critical points from clean racing to turn-marshal responsibility. Kyle ran the majority of the program while notch manned the Cow Rc Tech area. Every round the racers are required to check in with tech prior to racing to insure: proper car number, weight voltage, as well as post tech inspection for 17.5 classes which include and are not limited to blinky mode and 17.5 inspection.

The racing was exciting and action packed as separate race crews from various popular tracks such as SCVRC and Coyote Hobbies battled it out with the star studded cast of Team Ierc drivers and local "Hot Shots." The day was fun filled with a stacked raffle of over $1000 of raffle prizes including products from Jconcepts.net, Team Associated, Cow Rc, Kehl Insurance and LaPartshouse.com to name a few. The grand prize was a Team Associated B5M.

Racing concluded at 7:30pm with the final main event. Everyone had a great time and we are all looking forward to the next round at Rainman's in Bakersfield August 23rd for Round 4. TNS has structured their event to offer the same great stuff each and every round! Prizes trophies and great race action.

MARK Garcia from Moments Ago was our Professional Photographer and Anthony Ross was also on hand- both can be found on FB

Thank You Racers!
