2014 JBRL Southern California Electric Offroad Series
Hello racers!!! The 2014 JBRL season is rapidly approaching and I just wanted to start a new thread to discuss our 11th season!!! Below is a list of the 2014 electric classes that will be offered along with the rules and regulations for the series. Please feel free to post any questions you may have or discuss anything JBRL!!!
2014 JBRL electric classes: -2wd Rookie (17.5 No timing) (Any 2wd 1/10 buggy, stadium truck or short course truck) -Sportsman Stock Buggy (17.5 No timing) (No chassis sponsored drivers of any percentage) -Super Stock Buggy (13.5 No timing) -Sportsman Stock Truck (17.5 No timing) (No chassis sponsored drivers of any percentage) -Modified Buggy -Modified Truck -Modified 4wd -Sportsman Stock 2wd Short Course (17.5 No timing) (No chassis sponsored drivers of any percentage) -Super Stock 2wd Short Course (13.5 No timing) -Pro 2 Short Course -Sportsman 4wd Short Course (No chassis sponsored drivers of any percentage) -Pro 4 Short Course -Electric 1/8 2014 JBRL electric series rules & regulations: -All 17.5 & 13.5 motors and batteries must be ROAR approved and on the ROAR approved list. -Although this is not a ROAR series, certain ROAR rules may be enforced at the discretion of the JBRL race director & tech crew. -6 cell NIMH or 2S LIPO only for all 10th scale classes. -All Rookie & Sportsman Stock classes must use a 17.5 motor and no timing or boost is allowed in the speed control. Timing is allowed in the motor. -No spoilers or wings will be allowed on the short course bodies in all short course classes. -Awards for top 3 in the "A" mains at each event -Awards for the top 10 at end of series (only top 5 will receive points fund money payout) -Two qualifiers and single mains at each event -The number of vehicles in a qualifying race or main event may vary depending on the track/drivers stand size. -Best 6 races count, 3 throw outs. -2 car bump up format -All 1/10 scale "A" mains are 6 minute races. All lower mains and qualifiers will be 5 minutes. -Electric 1/8th scale "A" mains are 10 min races. All lower mains and qualifiers will be 5 minutes. -Racers must attend 6 of 9 races to be eligible for end of series awards. -Top 3 finishers in 2wd rookie, Spt. Stock and Spt. 4wd Short Course classes at end of series must move up to next higher class. -$30 1st entry, each additional entry $20. -No pre entries, registration the morning of the event, at the track. Some events will have registration the day before. -Practice from 6am to 8am. There has been talk of people running classes that they have been bumped out of. Here is the rule. Top 3 finishers in 2wd rookie, Spt. Stock and Spt. 4wd Short Course classes at end of series must move up to next higher class. These drivers can NOT run rookie: Bryan Wyrick Adam Lapid Jordynn Brunette These drivers can NOT run any sportsman classes: Jon Whitaker Squid Kevin Kasten Oil Can Mike Hernandez These drivers can NOT run spt. 4wd short course Vince Stolo J. Oh and is the points fund payout exclusive to its own classes,?

You will have to contact the host track for local hotel listings. All the points fund money will be pooled together and distributed evenly amungst the classes.

WOW PEOPLE!!!! We are only 12 days away from the start of our 2014 JBRL electric series!!! Round #1 will take place on Saturday March 8th at IERC Raceway in San Bernardino, CA!!! Larry and the crew have been working extremely hard in preparation for this huge event!!! We hope you can make the first round and all the rounds this season!!!

Can't wait. Visited IERC last weekend and traction was good and layout was fun. They are planning on putting a new layout for this event but good things going on out there. Should be a GREAT day of racing.
