It's the D3.5 that is illegal not the D3. Has to do with the thickness (too thick) of the wires used in the winding. Only the 17.5 is currently not legal. 13.5 and 21.5's are still legal as far as I know.

Sorry guys. We host about 50 sites and our main account was hacked. They gave them access to all of our accounts (thankfully only 16 were affected). I've spent the last 4-5 days cleaning all that up. Oi, alot of work.

ANYWAY, UF1 is back up and securer than ever (is securer a word?). Sorry for the inconvenience.

We do have the results with the throwouts on their way.

Season Results
Driver Results
Team Results
Race 6 Race Recap

Race Interviews and Gallery coming soon.

Also, check out this cool article that Bill Jeric, employee of Losi/Horizon, wrote about the UF1 and his experience:

Hi Lee,

Are you using a HobbyWing Justock on your F1 car? If so, can you help me on how to figure out to get the maximum performance since I just installed a similar ESC? Problem is it suddenly got so slow especially on the top end(like driving a silver can). Tried changing the axel bearings, upped the motor timing, took out drag brake ,etc. still the same. PM me or better email me @ [email protected]. Thanks.

Don't bother.
Finally figured it out. It wasn't set up right. Went thru the manual again. For some reason, the throttle on the radio must be reversed. Thanks.

FYI - Trinity never submitted the D3.5 21.5T motor to ROAR. It is NOT a ROAR approved 21.5T motor

Also, at the bottom of this page (right above the results) is a link to a PDF containing the 2013 UF1 Winter Series results...WITH throwouts!

Thanks Fred for getting this in shape.

Default UF1 Winter points with throw outs

I'm afraid the PDF document for points with throw outs is incorrect. It doesn't take into account races or race days with zero points. So in my case, my total points are 1391. I missed Round six so I have three zero points races which should have been my throw outs. Those zero points races were not used and three other races were used as throw outs making my point total 1127. This means I have 6 throw outs, not three.

Several other folks are affected and they are anyone that has zero points for a race day or zero points for multiple race days. Their worst points races were used as throw outs, not one of the days where there are zero values.

Any way this can be corrected before Saturday, round 7, since points are used to seed qualifying heats?

I'm aware of the ZERO points or should I say those who missed a day or two. I have to redo the formulas to take those drivers with that issue into account. I'll correct it after work when I have more time. Right now I'm busy trying to book my flights for this weekend. I'll make sure Tony has the files in time for the last UF1 race.

that should be an easy fix - just fill in the missed races with "0"s rather than leaving them blank. right?

Mr. "T" is correct! The points totals for all racers who had at least one weekend missing points total is the same on the spread sheet before the points being adjusted. Example: Tyree's total points before throw out 1391; after throw out 1391. Tony Neisinger 1430 before throw out, 1430 after and so on down the list. It moves all of these guys up the finishing order as a result. Tony N is in 5th place instead of 15th, Tyree is in 7th place instead of 18th place and so on...

Hope that flight leaves on Sunday so we get to see another "epic battle" from you.

Your not kidding... Fred has taken his game up a step... I remember the good old days when Fred and I would get into great battles... My skill level has plateaued and I'm finding myself in the C main quite often these days

This Saturday is going to be great... The Avocado house will be hosting the pre race meeting 6:30 AM for those of you who have nothing better to do at 6:30 AM
